Wake up to one of Cornwall’s most iconic coastal views at The Old Farmhouse, part of the Gwithian Retreats collection and home to the popular Godrevy Lighthouse webcam. Guests enjoy that same breathtaking panorama stretching across countryside to the sea and lighthouse. Set on a peaceful smallholding just outside Gwithian, shared with four gentle Jersey cows, it sleeps six and welcomes two well-behaved dogs for a relaxed Cornish escape. The space The Old Farmhouse offers spacious, comfortable accommodation, thoughtfully laid out for relaxed stays. Downstairs there is a: -large sitting room featuring an open fire and comfortable sofas, smart TV and DVD, making it a cosy place to unwind after a day at the beach or exploring the coast. -sunny conservatory providing additional seating along with a second dining table, offering a bright, relaxed space to enjoy meals or simply take in the views. -kitchen that is well equipped for self-catering, with a hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and double sink, along with plenty of worktop space for preparing meals. There is also an excellent supply of crockery, glassware and utensils, making it easy to cater for families or groups. -utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer -separate lavatory. -dining room featuring an ornamental fireplace, a beautiful Welsh dresser, and a dining table with seating for six guests. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, all enjoying far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside. - Bedroom 1 – Super king-size bed with countryside views - Bedroom 2 – King-size bed with countryside views - Bedroom 3 – Two single beds with sea views Adjacent to the bedrooms is a large family bathroom with an oversized bath and a separate shower. Outside, there is parking for two cars and a private enclosed garden with a picnic bench — an ideal spot to relax, enjoy uninterrupted sea views towards Godrevy Lighthouse, and take in the spectacular sunsets. Access to the property is via key safe entry. Other things to note The Old Farmhouse is set on a working farm, so you may occasionally see a tractor during sociable daytime hours. We also have a small number of friendly Jersey cows, who are very curious and often like to say hello from a distance. We live next door to The Old Farmhouse and are available if you need us, while always respecting your privacy throughout your stay. Wi-Fi is complimentary and satellite based. Speeds are generally good, but as with all rural locations, we’re unable to guarantee performance at all times. The property is supplied by a private water system, which can occasionally affect water pressure, particularly in the shower. Due to the age of the property and electrical capacity, electric vehicle charging is not available. Mobile phone signal can be limited for some networks. Wi-Fi calling is recommended where needed. For safety reasons, window restrictors are fitted and prevent windows from opening fully. Please note there is a step down into the upstairs bathroom and steps within the kitchen, which may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
