Henry's Lakefront Cabin Enjoy our older 1980s cabin right on Henry's Lake with amazing views. The cabin is just 20 minutes from Yellowstone National Park! We provide awesome outdoor winter amenities including tomahawk throwing, kayaks, canoe, fishing poles, ice auger, snow tubes, firewood, and more. Current Status Lake: Frozen 3-inches ... Be safe! Road Conditions: No restrictions Current Ice Fishing: AMAZING!!! 4 wheel drive might be needed as winter sets in! The space The cabin has 3 bedrooms. ** The Lakeview room has 2 king-sized beds and a full-size futon/sofa bed. ** The Yellowstone room has 1 full-size bed and a full-size futon/sofa bed. ** The bear room has 1 full-size bed. You will also have access to the living room, laundry, and kitchen are located. When it's time to eat feel free to cook in the kitchen. We have lots of pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. for you to use. You can also fire up the grill out on the deck to cook up some bbq. Wifi included! ---- WINTER INFO ---- The lake usually freezes in late October/ early November which is perfect timing for ice fishing. We do provide guests with an auger, basic fishing poles, and other fishing equipment to use while staying at the cabin. 4 Wheel Drive vehicles are encouraged in November! Snowmobile, snowshoe, and snow ski access only starting in December! Yellowstone closes the first week of November! Winter access into Yellowstone via snowmobile/snow coach tours starts December 15th! ---SUMMER INFO--- We do have 7 kayaks (4 adult-size, 2 kids-size, and 1 tandem), one canoe (sits up to 3 people), and 2 paddleboards. Lifejackets are required if you use our boats. You can also find the lifejackets in the garage. Be aware no lifegaurds are on duty ... boat and swim at your own risk! We have fishing poles and gear you can use. You can also fish from one of the boats or just fish right from our dock. We also have an ice auger if the lake is frozen over. An Idaho Fishing Licence is required! You can purchase a day license from the Drift Lodge about 10 minutes away or from WalMart in Rexburg which is a good place to do food shopping before you come up to the cabin. We have a tomahawk target and 5 throwing axes that guests can use. Who is the best tomahawk thrower in your group? Please use these at your own risk and supervise children at all times! We recommend a bunch of local places to visit including Big Springs, Sawtelle Peak, and others. Just message us for more info!
