Welcome to Lakota! Come get cozy in this 2 BR cottage in scenic Madison, NH. Spend the day hiking or swimming at Silver Lake and enjoy North Conway - all within 15 minutes. Experience the Kancamagus highway and Swift River just down the road. Cross the Kanc (30-40 min) and visit Santa's Village, Polar Caves Park, or visit the bears at Clarks Trading post! Relax with a book or login to your Roku account with the high speed WIFI. Lakota sleeps 6 comfortably and is dog friendly (upon approval). The space This amazing open floor plan cottage is perfect for sharing stories, unforgettable family meals and relaxing. With a queen bed in the first bedroom and a twin-over-full bunk bed in the second bedroom plus a full size futon in the living room, we can accommodate 6 comfortably. The kitchen comes stocked with plates, cups, eating and cooking utensils. There is also a guest washer/dryer, dishwasher and Keurig for use while you’re here. Head out the sliding glass doors to the patio for grilling and relaxing on the deck chairs. (available seasonally) Guest access Plenty of parking available on the dirt driveway. The driveway is sloped down from the street into the property. 4WD or AWD is recommended, the driveway is regularly plowed and sanded but still a dirt driveway in the White Mountains. There is currently a boardwalk with several steps that leads from the driveway to the front door of the cottage ; regrettably, inaccessible for persons with mobility issues. Other things to note The driveway is sloped down from the street into the property. Guests are permitted to use the washer/dryer and dishwasher. Please bring your own detergent/fabric softener. There is a TV in the living space and we provide high speed internet access where guests are able to stream their own entertainment providers or work from home at the cottage. A gas grill will be available to use approximately from April-October. AC will be installed during summer months only (end June-Sept) Access is NOT permitted to the loft area or locked section of the closet in the bunk room.
