Rose Cottage is a lovely holiday cottage for up to 5 people. Set in an elevated position above Low Row village in the heart of Swaledale, the cottage enjoys views you can only dream about. Offering a wonderfully relaxing base, with fabulous walks and cycling straight from the door, making it the perfect holiday base. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms (one ensuite) and a conservatory with glorious views you can enjoy whatever the weather. The space Renovated and updated in 2018 this family home provides everything needed for a memorable holiday in the stunning Yorkshire Dales. The comfortable lounge is newly decorated and has an oak floor and cosy wood burner. Two settees (one of which is a bed settee), a velvet pouffe and dual aspect windows make a charming place to relax and chat or watch tv. The large master bedroom (with super-king zip and link bed), has views from two windows across the green and over the Dale. The ensuite bathroom has been renovated to the highest standards with roll top bath and separate walk-in shower. A Murano chandelier and wonderful views from two windows down Dale and across the valley provide a luxury setting to enjoy a bath with a glass of something cold in hand. Two other bedrooms; one with kingsize bed and one with a 4’ small double bed, share a bright family bathroom with shower over the bath, and there is a modern downstairs toilet off the utility room. The kitchen diner is equipped with everything you need to cook up and serve a feast. An original stone-shelved pantry provides extra storage. The dining table seats six with ease. The utility room houses a further fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. Tasteful, muted Farrow and Ball colours, crisp, clean furnishings and simple understated elegance enhance the character of the cottage. Interesting collections of art and original works of embroidery adorn the walls. A large conservatory leads onto the terrace and is the perfect place to sit in all weathers, taking in the views or planning the day over breakfast at the round table. The terrace has far-reaching views and comfortable outdoor furniture; the ideal spot to relax and enjoy your holiday. Light the fire pit in the evening or add the grill to cook al fresco. Luxury Hot Tub is available at extra cost, by prior arrangement with the owners. Rose Cottage is a traditional stone Dales longhouse, south facing and boasting breathtaking views of Swaledale . A lovely characterful family home with modern facilities throughout. Guest access There is private parking for two cars, and off-road parking on the green for more. Limited local bus service. Children are welcome but there is an unfenced drop off the terrace (up to 450mm) so must be supervised at all times. Other things to note The master bedroom has a zip and link super king bed which can be converted to two single beds on request. Oil fired central heating and logs provided for the woodburner. One well-behaved dog accepted only by prior arrangement with the owners. Linen and towels provided. Dishwasher Wifi and internet-connected TV. DVD player. Cot and high chair available. Lockable bike storage Walking distance from the renowned gastropub, the Punch Bowl Inn, Low Row The village of Reeth is a ten minute drive and offer a Postoffice and general store, bakery, gift shops, pubs and cafes. Hawes, Leyburn and Richmond are within half an hours drive and have a wide range of shops, facilities and attractions.
