The space BETTY'S MINSTER VIEW is a completely renovated 3 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment spread across two floors with superfast WiFi throughout. Located on the 2nd (top) floor with access via the lift or wide sweeping staircase. County House has the appearance of a grand hotel and this feeling continues as you enter the impressive lobby. County House is a beautiful grade II listed building and formerly the York County Hospital (1740–1977). Established by funds from generous sponsors, who are listed on boards in the stunning lobby, the building has a wealth of history as an integral part of York’s community. Many people have memories of their stay or visit to the hospital. We have been told that our apartment formed part of the Matron's office - she definitely had an excellent spot to work from, with a magnificent Minster view and huge space! Downstairs: Stylish lounge with very comfortable sofa and chairs, smart TV with Netflix. Well-equipped kitchen/diner with oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave oven, washer/dryer, large table and high chair. Family bathroom - newly refurbished with bath and overhead shower An ensuite bedroom with very comfortable superking-sized bed (or twin beds) and furnished with elegant '30's' style furniture in navy blue and gold. Beautiful high ceiling (5m+) with complementary large window that allows light to pour in, making this a stunning, bright and calm room to relax in. Guests will have the convenience of an ensuite with walk in shower. Upstairs: A galleried bedroom with a superking-sized bed (or twin beds) that creates a bright and light airy feel. Furnished with mid-century furniture pieces including a comfortable chair by the window, where you'll be able to admire the stunning Minster or just relax with a book. A large bright bedroom with twin beds (or superking-sized bed) furnished with modern Scandinavian style white and wood furniture. Outside (including parking) Free gated secure parking for one car in dedicated parking bay. Additional secure parking available at £5 a day (just 30 seconds walk away!) Supermarkets located within a few minutes walk. Guest access You will have access to the whole apartment. We are centrally located, just a 2-3 minute walk to the city and a 5 minute walk to the Minster. Free parking in secure gated car park and additional secure parking just 30 seconds away at £5/day. Other things to note We use hotel quality linen and towels. We have a travel cot available for your use but we ask guests to provide cot bedding. High chair and stair gates also available.
