Description

Come stay with us! Your private home away from home styled to feel like you are staying at a family or friend's house. And, we have included all those little things that you may have forgotten to pack. That homey feeling is reinforced by the view out the windows of the private backyard. The unit has its own covered entrance and free parking in the driveway. Located 3.3 miles east of downtown Denver. An easy trip to the mountains, Red Rocks, or the airport 22 minutes from here, via I-70 The space Private suite at the back of our 1950 single story ranch house, it is part of the house and is about 430 sq. ft. No smoking anything, anywhere on the property. The completely private main floor unit has a living area, bedroom area, kitchen area with table and bar, and a bathroom with a tub. The bathroom has two entrances to make it easier to access from the bedroom and the kitchen. The quirky layout lends tons of character and helps it feel cozy. The unit has six windows that let in tons of light. While small because of the layout and all the windows, it feels much larger than the square footage suggests. Please feel free to leave the blinds open during the day, no one can see in and the neighbors do not use the bedroom across from the unit's bedroom. Another odd feature is that in the bedroom the bed is against the wall on one side and there is a 14” walkway on the other side making it a bit tight. However, the closet is huge and has a dresser and lots of hanging space. The exterior entrance door to the unit, one of three original entrances to the house, is accessed from the backyard. Go through the garage to get to the fully fenced backyard. The suite is secluded from our home by a sound insulated wall and a dead bolted door that leads to a linen closet and then into our space. We do our best to be quiet however you might expect the noise between the main part of the house and the guest suite to be about the same as you would from any good neighbor in a duplex or apartment building. There is one adult, two dogs and occasionally my daughter and my grandson visit in our part of the house. :) The suite includes a comfortable living area with a TV, a Roku box to access HBO Max, Disney+, ESPN, Paramount+, Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc. Local channels may be accessed through the antenna or many may be found on the streaming networks listed above. And, we have board games, Uno and a deck of cards. There is no range or sink in the kitchen. The kitchen area, while not a full kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils and other implements, everything one would need to fix meals. It also includes a toaster, microwave, toaster oven (big enough for two pizzas), refrigerator, 2 electric fry pans, an electric burner (hot plate), a slow cooker, tea kettle, a French press and a coffee pot. A deep sink with an 18" dishwasher is located in the bathroom, just a few steps away from the kitchen. We have stocked the kitchen area with breakfast, spices and oil, a wide range of teas, coffee and occasionally other foods and drinks for the use of our guests. Please help yourself to any food found in the kitchen. There are also small coolers underneath the counter in the kitchen hen and larger ones in the garage for use by our guests. The suite is thoroughly cleaned and aired out between guests. No scents are used in cleaning the unit the towels and the bedding. The air purifier's filter is cleaned regularly. Guest access To get into the house you will need to enter through the garage using the code I will provide to you prior to check-in. Then in the back yard, walk up the left sidewalk to the unit door. A key with garage door remote will be provided for your use during your stay. Refer to the check-in instructions that will be messaged to you prior to your arrival. Please park on the far left side of the driveway in order for us to have access to and from the garage with our vehicle. And last but not least, I have a puppy named Teddy B. and another older dog Lucy. I have fenced off the area of the backyard that leads to my patio and the private entrance we use. This allows you to be separated from them. Teddy will run up to the fence and may bark if he sees you, he cannot get out or over the fence. Please do not pet them unless I am also there. Other things to note CAR RENTAL AVAILABILITY: A car may be available to rent through TURO, dependent upon availability. This is not an Airbnb service and Airbnb is not liable for anything connected to this rental. Send me a message and I will send you the TURO listing. The car is available at my listing. FOOD DELIVERY: Yes, you may order food or other items to be delivered. Use our address (2690 Grape St.) and tell the delivery person to pull up in the garage driveway (on 28th Ave.) and then ring the doorbell located above the keypad to the right of the garage door. SCENTS: We have minimized scented products as much as possible. That includes laundry products, no potpourri etc. Also, we do not allow any smoking anywhere on the property.
