Whether you’re spending time inside in our cozy atmosphere or outside on the deck, by the fire pit or lounging on the dock, we are confident you’ll enjoy your stay. Welcome to to The Red Cabin at Lay Lake, a 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin on the main channel at Lay Lake. With over 200 feet of waterfront, you will enjoy your time at the lake. And if it’s a view your looking for, you’ve come to the right place.  This 750 sq ft cozy 1970s vintage cabin has one of the best views on the lake.   The view can be enjoyed from the house, the deck, the fire pit or the dock.  The Red Cabin at Lay Lake has a large flat screen TV in the den with DISH Network.  Outside we have a 2 slip covered boathouse (with electricity), a charcoal grill and a fire pit with outdoor lights, as well as 2 kayaks for your stay. There is covered seating on the deck and a patio set in the yard.  In true vintage fashion there is no wifi, but AT&T and Verizon cell service do get a good signal.  Also available is a fully stocked kitchen, adult and children’s books, and  a small stackable washer and dryer.  We are dog friendly for up to 2 dogs, with a $50 pet fee for each. To best use your lake-time, we suggest you bring you food and supplies at check-in (if possible). The closest full service grocery is 18 miles, although there is a Dollar General only 7 miles down the road. THERE IS A MAX OF 4 PEOPLE ALLOWED AT THE RED CABIN. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 4 PEOPLE WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL. MINIMUM AGE OF 25 TO RENT **There is not a boat ramp on the property.
