The nature aspect is so very special. There are a huge amount of bird species, and bird feeders for you to see them up close! It's so special to just be in this space whether you are on the large deck, or in the yard with nature all around, gardens, and places to wander and explore. The yard is for YOUR PRIVATE USE. It has a huge assortment of trees including an oak grove outside the master bedroom, the huge lawn before you, mainly fenced, and gorgeous views of nature and a rose garden with 33 specimen roses. Fruit trees, flowers, arboretum of trees, garden paths, enjoy nature! Completely unique for being in Santa Barbara and 2 minutes to the beach. The lawn is as big as a soccer field. There is a zipline that goes down an incline, and a large assortment of tree swings, ropes to swing on - a Tarzan rope too! Large hammocks, tetherball and box of balls and lawn toys. Full Kitchen with all appliances, pots & pans, plates, spices/dry goods, everything for cooking! Air conditioning is with a large evaporative cooler - portable, high capacity, and another PORTABLE air conditioner for a South facing bedroom. LAUNDRY -- there is a laundry machine for washing and hang dry. It's a full set up. FREE wash laundry service with 4 day stays or longer. A crew does contactless laundry for you.. DOGS WELCOME: The deck right outside the living room has gates to enclose your dog (s) so doggies can go in and out of the inside yet won't go too far, they won't be able to get to the huge lawn without a gate being opened for them, so you can keep them close, but they have the freedom to go outside on the deck. The lawn is so big, you would want to supervise doggies. The yard is so extremely large, and mainly fenced, but a dog looking to escape certainly would be able to. Off leash is great, but if your dog likes to get far away, make sure you supervise so they don't get lost. Be sure to pick up in the yard after your pups. Your dog MUST be housebroken to stay, and must not bark excessively. AIR CONDITIONING IS A HIGH POWERED EVAPORATIVE COOLER FOR INSIDE OR OUTSIDE, AND A PORTABLE UNIT FOR THE UPPER PART. NOT CENTRAL AIR. 2 minutes to Arroyo Burro/Hendry's Beach one of the very best in Santa Barbara, 5 mins to downtown, the Pier, the Wharf, State Street, Court House, and Mission. 10 minutes to the SB Airport next to UCSB. Hendry's beach is a dog beach, and The Wilcox/Douglas Preserve is 5 mins away, a great dog park or walk along the cliffs overlooking the ocean. There is lots of games, and toys for kids for hours of entertainment inside the house too. HOUSE LAYOUT: Walk down one flight of stairs from your car/parking area to your front door. In the main area there is a living room, dining room, kitchen, eating bar, 2 bedrooms, one bathroom and huge deck for relaxing or dining. Up a few stairs outside, there is a covered walkway to another 2 bedrooms/1 bath in a detached suite, separated from the main area - by an exterior walk way, lending great privacy - great for teenagers, grandparents to have privacy or a nice "kids' wing". This second guest suite that comes with this property is about 20 steps away from the main area's front door. This suite includes a microwave, and coffee maker, large cable TVs in the 2 bedrooms. It's very quiet and insulated from noise from your main living area on the lower level. (grandparents might like this, or use this suite for the teenagers) Every bedroom in the entire property has large HDTV's. One DVD player. Also there is a large HDTV TV in the main living room. High speed internet throughout. Also, Ethernet cable on Main living area TV for you to put in your password for : Netflix, Hulu , Sling, Prime, or Disney to watch what you like with your own account. A total of 10 adults (extra small kids OK if by prior written agreement - otherwise there are extra person fees) . 10 is maximum occupancy for this listing. No camping, no tents outside. There is irrigation systems and watering middle of the night, and the local ordinances do not allow tents with airbnb's in this neighborhood. No outdoor speakers of any kind are allowed. The house is extremely private in a very rural area, which is unusual since it's close to the beach and downtown. No neighbors can see in. The house is built into a hill so it's naturally quiet. The decks have gates so toddlers or pups can be near and go in and out with out having access to the entire yard. Great for containing your dog for your stay in the house, so your pup can go in and out. This rental is above the yard and overlooks it for a breathtaking view. There is a flagstone staircase on one end and a wooden staircase on the other end to take you on a garden walk down to the yard,. There is a beautiful oak grove area with a picnic table, and enjoyment of this wooded sanctuary space on one end of the property -- so very shaded and woodsy. The specimen trees are amazing! Pick fruit for you stay: apples, plums, avocados, oranges, tangerines, lemons, apricots, peaches, loquats. Please only pick what you eat in the yard to leave fruit for the next guests. This is an artist's house with original French impressionist oil paintings throughout. The scenes in the paintings are landscapes from the area. The management of the unit is done by a good owner/manager with a 5 star rating. The owner./management has a unit on site, away from your space, separate entry in a different location, and you likely will not see the owner/manager. Check in is contactless. The owner travels often but there is helper/manager in case something is needed. There is no contact. Self check in, and likely you won't see the owner/manager. Communication is best via the message chain which sends a special tone alert. PLEASE NOTE: Maximum occupancy for unit --- 10 adults, extra young kids OK if you ask by message prior to booking, and dogs OK. NO EVENTS, NO PARTIES, NO WEDDINGS. NO EXTRA PEOPLE OTHER THAN THOSE ON RESERVATION. This is a special property for peaceful stays for romance, families, kids, doggies, reunions, but absolutely not a 'party' house. NO PARTY RENTALS ALLOWED. NOT TO BE USED AS A PARTY WHERE OTHERS ARE INVITED, occupancy is for only the guests indicated on the reservation. 10 pm is quiet time. No outdoor speakers. Use of tree swings, ropes, hammock, zip line, all at your own risk, so parents tell your kids to be careful, and please supervise! It's a lot of fun for all, but be careful! Property is not childproofed inside or out. If you have a crawler, or toddler, please be advised that this property is not set up for the safety features necessary for young children. All electric is like a normal house, the deck outside was built before child safety codes, so openings in the fencing are larger than 4 inches apart. NON SMOKING UNIT IN THE INSIDE, NO VAPING INSIDE, FEEL FREE TO SMOKE ON THE BALCONY AND OUTSIDE. Guest access 2 car driveway parking - TANDEM style and plenty of street parking that is free without restrictions, you have private use of the huge park like yard, your main residence, decks, and detached guest suite (2 bed/1 bath). Total altogether is 4 beds - 1 King, 3 Queen --2 baths -- plus extra sleeping in rollaway twin beds, futons, couch, whatever you like with plenty of linens and towels provided. Other things to note Please be respectful of noise levels for the neighborhood, no outside music, no speakers or boom boxes, no loud noise after 10 pm, by county ordinance and to respect this neighborhood. Bring the noise inside after 10 pm.
