Lots of spices, propane included, and lots of activities. If you think the bedroom with the view looks great in the picture wait until you’re there, it’s even better! It does feel like you’re on a boat at night as said in the description. More detail about our place... Beach: One of the best parts of staying with us is your direct access to the beach. Easily launch the kayaks and explore the canal. We provide 2 adult sit-in kayaks, 1 tandem kayak, 2 youth sit-on-top kayaks, and lifejackets. The outdoor shower makes it easy to rinse off after playing in the water. Stand-up paddle board rentals may be available - includes delivery and life jackets - message me for availability and reserve 1 or 2 for your stay. Inside: The fun beachy décor adds to this waterfront hidden gem. It is comfortable, clean, and a great place to get away from the city to unwind. Huge Sony Bravia TV with Sonos soundbar to watch your favorite app - Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney+ etc. A selection of games, books, puzzles, and beach toys to keep you and/or the kids busy. Outside: The hang out space extends outside to the full-length deck. Lounge on your choice of seating: cozy loveseat w/ottoman, tall bistro table and chairs, Adirondacks, or the umbrella covered patio table. Keep warm under the patio heater while you BBQ and take in the water views. We include propane for the heater and bbq. Sparkly patio string lights over the deck add to the magic of staying waterfront in the evening. Bedrooms: Our guests love our comfortable beds - all have memory foam toppers. It's all about getting a good night's rest! Upper king view room: If you are the lucky one to get this room you will take in the most epic views from up high, see beautiful sunrises in the morning, and watch the birds glide by the huge windows. This room is separated by a door for privacy. Upper large bedroom: King bed and queen bed. You walk through this bedroom to get to the king view room. The bathroom and closet are shared. **NOTE ABOUT BEDROOM PRIVACY** The upper king/queen room is an 'open concept' and all in one space. It offers NO PRIVACY if that is a concern for your group. Ground floor, private bedroom: queen bed, dresser, and closet. Easily pull down the blackout shade for additional privacy. A full bathroom is on the main level, just outside this bedroom. **You will hear cars on the road. Much less traffic than on the South Shore side, but cars nonetheless** Keep this in mind if you are a light sleeper. Kitchen: granite counter-tops, stainless appliances, trash compactor, expansive peninsula for serving, and bar stools for additional seating. It is fully stocked with the tools and dishes you will need to make meals. In addition to a drip coffee maker, (coffee included) there is also a French press, and Kuerig (we love our coffee too!). There is even a chocolate fountain if you want to do a fun family dessert experience. Shellfish: We have year-round oysters and clams galore on our beach. You are welcome to harvest, at state limits, to consume on the property. Our favorite is to BBQ oysters on the grill, then dip in garlic butter. Remember to purchase your shellfish license online from the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Pets: Dogs are welcome guests too! The pet fees are $50 per pet/per night and are included in your reservation. No puppies or restricted breeds. If you bring an unauthorized pet, or a pet is not disclosed, you will be automatically be billed a $500 penalty per pet. If there are any extra damages, you will be billed for the repair cost. You must pick up after your pet and not leave it alone in the house. We provide some blankets to cover the couch if they want to snuggle! *Pet advisory: there is no open space for your pet to roam. There is room on the deck and where the kayaks are stored for them to explore. If they are on the beach, they will have to be on a leash. The Belfair State Park is about 10 min. away and has a large grassy field for roaming. The "Barking Lot" is a dog park in Belfair for another off leash option. Work remotely: The high speed internet works great for remote work or school. A portable pop-up desk and computer chair are available. They can easily be set up in any area of the house if you need a separate workspace. Fill-the-Fridge: Want to have a stocked fridge and cupboards when you arrive? We can pick up your Safeway/QFC order and deliver it or grocery shop for you on the day of your arrival. Message me if you are interested in this service. Guest access You have full access to the entire beach house, deck, and private beach. The public boat launch is about 10 minutes away. Parking is available for 3 cars max. 2 spots flank the house and one narrow spot across the street. The location of the house is remote - just vacation homes along the shore. There are no shops or restaurants within walking distance of the house. The small town of Belfair, which you will come through on your way to the house, is a 15-minute drive. Safeway, QFC, Starbucks, and other little shops and restaurants are located there. We suggest grocery shopping in town on your way to the house. Other things to note One of my staff may greet you at check-in to go over the property lines of the beach. It helps to get a visual on the pole markers that line the beach at low tide and makes it clear and easy. To manage expectations, our place is a "fair weather home". It is great during most year-round PNW weather, however, when temperatures outside are extreme the house may not be as comfortable as what you are used to. Please do not book this beach house if you are sensitvie to extreme temperatures. Breezes off the water cool the place down in the summer but temps over 90 keep the house pretty hot - most cool off in the water. We do have portable AC units in the summer months, one upstairs and one downstairs to help. In the winter, you can cozy up with a crackling fire, but if temps are below freezing, it may be hard for the fireplace and heating to keep up.
