The space Bright and tastefully decorated, this condo brings together the beauty of Costa Rican wood with modern furnishings and local décor. Each bedroom has a beautifully renovated, private ensuite bathroom, including custom vanities and easy glide glass doors. There is shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available, so you don't have to bring it with you! Both bedrooms have comfortable pillow top mattresses and pillows with protectors for your peace of mind. The bedrooms also have personal air conditioning units so you can rest in comfort after a long, hard day at the beach or pool. The master bedroom boasts a beautiful king bed built from native wood, lots of closet space, and a Juliet balcony where you may be serenaded by a Howler monkey. The second bedroom also has ample closet space in the large, custom armoire, and touch reading lamps. There are Wi-Fi extenders in each bedroom to provide coverage throughout the unit. In the living room, you can relax on the comfortable, custom L-shaped sofa to read, surf the net, watch TV, or hang out with your friends and family. Your renovated kitchen with beautiful hand made wood cabinets is stocked with all the kitchenware and appliances that you will need for your stay. If you prefer cooking outdoors, the small back porch offers a new propane BBQ that you are free to use at your leisure. The breakfast bar is a great place to catch up on emails and make your friends jealous! It also provides an excellent space for those who need to do some work while traveling (although, try not to do too much work). Enjoy your morning coffee soaking up the beautiful, tropical landscape on the front porch relaxing in the locally made Adirondack chairs - we even supply the coffee! When you do go to the pool or the beach, there are beach towels provided for you. Also included for your convenience are beach loungers, a beach umbrella, a cooler, and even a wagon to take it all down to the beach. Please do shake out the beach items before bringing them back inside. There is also an outdoor shower on the premises to wash off the sand after your day at, or in, the water. The main floor powder room offers convenience for those quick trips from the pool. Guest access During your stay at Los Sueños II, you will have access to the entire home and common areas, including the refreshing pool, strategically located in the centre of the complex. There are parking spaces adjacent to the property that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is free street parking as well. The complex has a locked gate. You will be provided with a key for the gate when you arrive. If you are arriving after hours, you will be provided with details for a lockbox to access the key. There is a $25 lost key fee. The unit has a code that is changed with each guest. You will be provided the code prior to your arrival. You are welcome to use anything in the unit, including any condiments, oils, spices, etc. If you have left over food when you are leaving (untouched), please do leave it for the cleaner as opposed to wasting it by putting in the garbage. You are not permitted to access the owner lock-up in the unit. The pool and common areas are available to you between 8am and 9pm. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. Please respect others and if you are sitting outside after 10pm, keep noise to a minimum. Other things to note This unit is located on the second floor and there are stairs to access. The unit itself is single level. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. The administration asks that you respect your neighbours and move inside after 10pm. THINK GREEN! Do not flush the toilet paper! Yes, you read correctly. Due to the lack of sewage systems in most parts of Costa Rica, almost everyone is on septic. You cannot put toilet paper in the toilets, it must go in the garbage. To encourage responsible usage of the air conditioners, discounted stays 4+ weeks will include a maximum of 800kwH (roughly US$190) of electricity in the price. Overages to be paid by guests. This is plenty for respectful usage of the air conditioners and dryer. Guanacaste Province experiences droughts from December through April. It is not unusual for the water company to have rolling shut offs to help conserve and replenish the water tables. This property does have a dedicated backup holding tank for these times, but we ask that everyone protect the environment and do not overuse this precious resource. Turn off faucets when brushing your teeth or cleaning dishes, reuse your towels, do not use the washing machine unnecessarily or to wash a single item, and let us know right away if there is a leak or running toilet! It is not unusual for the power or internet to go out on occasion. Please be patient as it will come back on. Insects & Wildlife This is a tropical country, so you can expect to see a couple of ants here and there, even inside. If you notice many inside, please let us know and we will put out ant-traps. Ants outdoors do a ton for the environment, so please leave them to their busy work! Yes, there are cockroaches in Costa Rica and on rare occasions, you may see one inside. Seeing one indoors does not mean the place is dirty. They will enter if they have been disturbed by construction or spraying (which is done 3 or 4 times a year). They are not like North American cockroaches and seeing one does not mean an infestation. They are not social and don’t live in groups (called an intrusion). There is cockroach spray in the property or feel free to step on it. Please do not leave food or garbage outside. We do have racoons and skunks in Costa Rica that will tear apart the trash.
