Description
Pretty cottage situated on the village green in the heart of Castleton village. Open fire for creating a cosy night in & perfect for exploring the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. Castleton is lucky to have two great pubs The Downe Arms with fabulous food and atmosphere right across the road and The Eskdale which serves lovely ‘fine dining food’ but also lovely just for a drink. There’s the Old Chapel Tearoom, a Londis & ‘Off the Scale’ shop We are also along the Esk Valley train line to Whitby The space Cosy rooms but please be aware of low beams and door frames.. open fire with fuel provided which heats radiators but also use of extra heaters too. Guest access On road parking can be busy during summer months but you can generally get parked nearby.. you will need to carry bags a short distance to our cottage. Other things to note TV has Freeview, (Apps such as Netflix & Amazon Prime available if you have the accounts to access them) EE is the only guaranteed phone network. The closest cash point machine is 8 miles away. The closest petrol station is 4.5 miles away. ONLY ONE DOG PERMITTED, PLEASE CONTACT ME FIRST IF YOU WISH TO BRING TWO. NO DOGS TO BE LEFT UNSUPERVISED IN THE COTTAGE WHETHER IN CRATES OR OUT OF CRATES whilst occupants attend weddings etc! There is a £10 per stay for bringing your pet which helps towards insurance for damage & extra cleaning.
