Charming two bedroom 19th century railway cottage with views over open fields, garden and trees. Our cottage has many quirky and unique features. It is filled with collected treasures from travels, and is a real home from home for you to enjoy. The property has several outside spaces for dining and relaxing, including a private deck, courtyard and west facing treehouse, where the amazing view toward Nidderdale can be enjoyed, with a sundown beverage. There are 3 private parking spaces. The space Entrance to property directly into kitchen area, with everything needed for cooking, snuggle chair in front of log burner. Casual dining table with stools for 3. Cosy lounge area with open fire, two sofas, and large TV with AppleTV and selection of DVDs. Leading off the lounge, fabulous dining room with atmospheric lighting and many treasures to discover. Glass dining table seating four. Open fireplace. Hifi with many CDs and vinyl in cupboard and workstation in corner. Main bedroom with king size bed, built in wardrobes, Internet TV, and en suite bathroom with W/C, sink, and walk in shower. Second bedroom with double bed, built in wardrobes, TV, views over open fields. This bedroom is across the landing from the house bathroom. House bathroom has a large bath, separate walk in shower, W/C and sink. There are infinity mirrors adjacent to the bath which make for a very interesting soak! Main landing with mood lighting and bookshelves. Outside the garden is lovely, with pond, and many sitting and dining areas. There is a patio outside the dining room french windows, on the east side of the house. And a bench by the pond, both good for morning coffee. The patio in the kitchen yard is best for breakfast. The dining table on the garden deck is best for lunch. The treehouse, or yard bench, for sundown drinks, and the dining table below for dinner. All of these areas are sheltered and private. Guest access We have parking for 2/3 cars, on the gravelled area in front of the garden. You will need a car. The beautiful village of Ripley is 2 minutes away, with a large car park, and access to the 36 bus which connects through to Leeds and Ripon. Also direct access to the Nidderdale Greenway. Other things to note Logs provided. Although the cottage enjoys uninterrupted countryside views to the front, the back overlooks the entrance to the old station yard, which houses a couple of businesses. The road adjacent can be busy at times.
