Sleeping area upstairs with panoramic double bedroom, bathroom and study/relaxation area. The space The apartment, equipped in detail, is ideal for relaxing after visiting the city and offers the possibility to continue looking at it from above, ordering your delicious pizza that can be conveniently delivered to the door, enjoying it on the terrace or in front of the fireplace. Those who would like to cook will find everything they need to do it best... Large relaxation area on the lower living room floor and relaxation/study bed area with bathroom on the upper floor. WiFi Guest access Walkers-friendly. The apartment is located at the end of a staircase in the heart of the ancient small village of Petraio - a few minutes from the lively center of Vomero, a beautiful neighborhood in the upper part of the city - on the 4th floor of an 18th century building, WITHOUT ELEVATOR, but the spectacular view and the comforts it offers will amply repay the small "effort" to reach it. The Petraio station of the Central Funicular, open until late at night, is a few steps from the house, which overlooks it. The other two Vomero funiculars (Chiaia and Montesanto) are within walking distance, as is the Collinare 1 Metro. Each of these means of transport connects with the most interesting central areas of the city. Other things to note The house of Petraio in Naples is located in the village of the same name, in one of the ancient parts of the Vomero district, on the slopes of the hill of San Martino, a stone's throw from the Sant'Elmo Castle - from whose mighty walls you will dominate the entire city with a view - and from the nearby splendid Certosa, with its wonderful treasures and sumptuous gardens. In the opposite direction is the beautiful Villa Floridiana, with its historic park, the museum of ancient porcelain and the picturesque viewpoint over the gulf. Vomero is a neighborhood full of life where, starting from its center in Piazza Vanvitelli, a few minutes' walk from the house, you will find everything for your needs, from shopping to pubs, bars, pizzerias and restaurants for every taste and budget, as well as the possibility of shopping 24 hours a day. In Piazza Vanvitelli, there is the subway station line 1, which connects it with practically the rest of the city. 30 meters of stairs from the house (Via Sanfelice) a popular mini market/deli/tobacco shop will meet your every need, not only food, in very extended hours, until late at night. About 300 meters away, along the driveway, there are other food shops, a bar and a pizzeria, which on request can also deliver excellent pizzas, drinks and various specialties to the house floor until late in the evening, for a convenient dinner on your return after a busy day. There is a paid garage for your car/motorcycle 200 meters from the house before the stairs leading to Petraio. The Central funicular station is located a few steps below the house and, nearby, in a time varying between five and fifteen minutes, there are, in addition to the art stations of the Collinare Metro that will connect you to every part of the city, the other two ancient funiculars (Chiaia and Montesanto) that connect the Vomero to the two homonymous central areas of Naples. The Central Funnel (Petraio station) will take you, downhill, directly to Via Toledo, the beating heart of Naples, from which in a few minutes you will reach, on the left, the historic center and the Decumani, and on the right Piazza Plebiscito and the waterfront. The same Central Funnel uphill will take you, in two minutes, to the center of the Vomero district (the walking distance is otherwise about 12 minutes). Continuing up the stairs, you will find the Montesanto funicular which, in 8 minutes, will allow you to immerse yourself in the ancient Pignasecca market and also taste every typical gastronomic delicacy and "street food", and then reach in a few steps 'Spaccanapoli', the ancient Greek Roman 'decumani' and the fascinating network of alleys that surrounds them. From the house of Petraio, following another street parallel to the one that leads on foot to the center of Vomero, you will also reach in a few minutes the funicular of Chiaia, which will take you instead to the heart of classy shopping and the waterfront area that extends, along the nineteenth-century Villa Comunale, to Mergellina and beyond, to Posillipo. From each of the destinations we have described, you will be able to retrace, without interruption, the millennial life of Naples from its Greek foundation to the present day, with the possibility of visiting the hundreds of churches, monuments, palaces and museums that will pass before you on the way.
