This lovely, fully-equipped 2-bedroom townhouse is the perfect retreat for exploring the stunning Black Mountains and a short walk from the house will take you to the many boutique shops, coffee houses and restaurants in the buzzing market town of Abergavenny. Please note that both bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs– so everyone in your group needs to be able to negotiate the short, straight staircase in the unlikely event of an emergency. The space From the street, you enter the house through a small hallway. This leads into the spacious and comfortable living/dining area, and then on the well-equipped galley kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher. French doors at the end of the kitchen lead out to the patio and the garden beyond. Upstairs, the large main bedroom is at the front of the house. It has a kingsize bed, wardrobe, dressing table, bedside cabinets and occasional chairs. The large picture window looks out towards the impressive Blorenge mountain. The second bedroom has a 4' 6” double bed, hanging space and drawers and a bedside cabinet. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and a heated towel rail. There is central heating throughout and the living area has an electric log-effect stove. Towels and bed linen are provided. 28 Park Street is fully compliant with the new 2023 Fire Safety Regulations for England and Wales which were introduced in October 2023. Guest access Abergavenny is of course a great walking centre, but you can also explore by car, train or bus. Local maps and guide books are provided at the house. Parking on the street outside (no restrictions) isn't usually a problem, although at busy times you may not be able to park directly outside the house. Other things to note The calendar is always packed with events such as the Steam Rally, the Abergavenny Festival of Cycling, and of course the world famous Abergavenny Food Festival in mid-September. If you are bringing bikes you can keep them in the back garden shed. This only has a simple padlock but the garden can only be accessed through the house or a side alley 2 doors down (please use this if the bikes are muddy!). There are lots of good local on-road and off-road routes – search for Abergavenny cycling routes and you'll find more information. 28 Park Street is fully compliant with the new 2023 Fire Safety Regulations for England and Wales, introduced in October 2023. We commissioned a professional Fire Safety Assessment for the house in November 2023 from Blackwood Fire Ltd. The inspector made several recommendations for improvements, all of which have now been carried out. Once you have booked, you will be able to read his report, together with the actions we took to implement its recommendations, in the online house information pack.
