Roselle Farm Cottage resides beside a farm paddock encompassing pasture, garden, and harbour views. There are sheep and sometimes lambs that you can pat and feed. The Royal Albatross Centre, Little Blue Penguins, Penguin Place, and Larnach Castle are 15-minute drive from the cottage. We are close to many beautiful beaches that host sea lions and seals. There are many great walks with scenic views. It is a self-contained cottage with everything you need for cooking and washing. The space Roselle Farm Cottage has been recently renovated with new and refurbished joinery and chattels that provide comfort, beauty, and charm. The linen provided is of high quality and we service the cottage and surrounding gardens so that your stay is of the utmost comfort. Our farm is on hill country. It is surrounded by sea and inlets that are the home of many different sea creatures and bird life. Portobello is 20 km from Dunedin City and 12km from the Royal Albatross Centre. We are close to unique and special wildlife such as penguin, seals, stilts, herons, and oyster catchers. Guest access At times we will be available to meet you when you arrive but we also have an electronic keypad entry for you to use for access into the cottage. You can access the garden and the surrounding paddock. Other things to note Roselle Farm is a working farm. There are work dogs that have their own area away from the accommodation. You will sometimes hear them bark. Protecting wildlife and fauna, especially those native to New Zealand, is part of many farming and tourism practices in this region.
