Cosy, homely cottage - perfect for Coast & Walks
Description
Relax in our cosy traditional three bedroom cottage in Northrepps, a historic village just three miles from Cromer and within a 30 minute walk of the excellent beach at Overstrand. The private courtyard garden has table and chairs for a cuppa or bite any time of day and there's a well-appointed kitchen to prepare a good meal. The cottage is comfortable with leather suite, "cottage-style" kitchen, three bedrooms (1 Double and 2 singles) and upstairs bathroom. The space This is a quirky cottage where the front of the cottage is wider than the rear and the garden is a different size again. This all harks back to the fact that this was the village's Post Office for decades and it's conversion back into a home along with its adjoining cottage meant making some unusual decisions about the layout. It all adds to the cottage's charm. The cottage was purchased by us as our own holiday cottage and furnished with quality materials. It has a very "cottagey", homely feel to it. Downstairs, you have a large lounge diner with comfortable leather suite focused on the large fire-place and TV. There's a quiet reading corner with lamp also. At the other end of the room, there's a dining table for four and a purpose-built pine dresser. A door leads to the well-appointed kitchen which offers a fridge, freezer, double oven and hob (electric). There's a Toaster, Microwave, stack of utensils, pots, pans, teapot, cafetiere , etc. The kitchen leads into the courtyard garden and also to the stairs which hide behind a door. Upstairs, you will discover three bedrooms (one double and two singles) and a bathroom. All have quality bed linen and very comfortable hybrid mattresses (both sprung and with memory-foam). The double room features a large fireplace (non-working). Bedroom 2 has a single bed with a further slide-out bed beneath. This offers either 1 single, 2 singles or a pseudo double if you push them together. Bedroom 3 is a single. All three bedrooms have their own well-proportioned wardrobes. The bathroom offers a bath with electric shower over, wash basin and sink. The cottage is heated by a combination of fixed electric storage heaters, fixed electric panel heaters and portable electric heaters. Please note: This is an old cottage - the stairs may not be ideal for people with mobility difficulties. Guest access The whole cottage and garden are available for your exclusive use along with a private parking space just outside the garden gate. Unloading your belongings is just a few paced from the rear door and there's plenty of floor space in the kitchen to sort your gear before ferreting it away. Other things to note The dining table is a great place to use your laptop for anything from check your emails to project work (as me how I know). It's not a dedicated space, but there's power points close by for laptop power and wifi connectivity. I have regularly sat here for hours on end editing photos and videos.
