Colonial Parmelee House at Guest House Retreat

All rentals include one bedroom, the kitchen, and dining and living rooms. We can open an extra bedroom at the 4-guest booking price, and both extra bedrooms at the 5-guest booking price. Retreat from the everyday world at our historic, Cape Cod-style home, adjacent to our retreat center. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of retreat at your pace, and on your own schedule. Adjacent hiking trails and lakes down the street mean this is great place to experience nature. The space Parmelee House was built in 1775, and is a well-maintained historical-property. Day-to-day it is part of our retreat center. Guest access You'll have access to the main bedroom (full bath), kitchen, dining room, and living room. There is also a small office with a rollout cot next to the main bedroom, ideal for small children. Extra bedrooms upstairs can be added if needed as you add more guests. Other things to note We may or may not be on site when you arrive - you'll be provided with a code for the key lockbox upon confirmation of your reservation. Look at our photos for reference. Although located in a rural setting, we are less than 10 minutes away from places like gas stations, restaurants, grocery and convenience stores. We do not have TV on the property. However, we have excellent WiFi throughout. Cellular service is spotty for Sprint, but stable for Verizon and ATT. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. Not handicap accessible. Additionally, the ceilings are low by modern standards (6.5 ft) with correspondingly low doorframes (6 ft).
