Cheerful 2 Bed Cottage In The Heart Of Canterbury

Lavender Cottage was built in 1836 and is bursting with charm. With its perfectly central location, you are within a few minutes stroll from all the cafes, award-winning restaurants and shops Canterbury has to offer, all whilst being tucked down a quaint side street by the river. Enjoy the views of the Cathedral as you step out the door, plan a trip to The Marlowe Theatre or go punting along the River Stour, all of which are on the doorstep. The space As you approach Lavender Cottage you will firstly notice the cheerful lilac exterior. Upon entering you will see you have everything you need for a cosy city retreat. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all the usual appliances you would expect to find at home, the living room has a smart TV, fireplace and comfortable seating. At the rear of the ground floor there is a sun filled breakfast room where you can dine and relax. Upstairs has the master bedroom, with a comfortable double bed and wardrobe, a full bathroom with bath and shower, and then the second bedroom which hosts a single bed and large wardrobe. Finally, when you exit the french doors out of the breakfast room, you will enter the charming walled garden, perfect for al fresco dining, with views of the Cathedral and Marlowe Theatre. There is even The Privy - the original WC of the property (which still works....Although a little chilly in the winter!) However, there are 3 large car parks within a few minutes walk, where the cost is capped at £20 per day. There is the possibility of visitor parking vouchers at a cost of £4 per 24 hours, where your car can be left within close proximity to the cottage in one of the residents bays, however as we cannot guarantee that there will be any spaces available we would suggest not to rely on this, just in case. However if you do secure a space I can instantly and easily arrange the voucher for you on your arrival! There is easy access for bag drop off directly outside the property. Canterbury has two train stations - Canterbury West is less than a 10 minute walk , or a few minutes by taxi. Canterbury East is approximately 15 minutes walk away, or a 5 minute taxi journey. Other things to note After every guest we commit to an enhanced cleaning process - so that the property is perfectly clean and sanitised before your stay.
