Life on the Lane
Life on the Lane
Description
Enjoy this hidden gem on a private/wooded lane, located on the grounds of the former Carmelite Monestary. Walk across the road to West Bay for a swim or to watch the sunset. It is hard to believe this is centrally located, walkable to downtown Traverse City. The grounds are wild and natural. Enjoy watching the birds while sipping coffee on the back deck or share a glass of wine while gazing down the lane toward west bay. City Registration #THR-2022-014 The space After entering through the front door, you will be greeted by an updated mid-century space. Feel free to lounge in the living room and entertain yourself with TV or board games. The upper level is where you find your accommodations. The Master Suite is a comfortable room with a queen size bed, TV, your choice of soft or firm pillows, and private en-suite. If you need to check in with the office, I can provide a small workstation for your room. The bedside lamps have USB/Type C charging ports for your devices. The door to your room locks. There are 4 bicycles available for use - first come first serve. Bring your own helmet. Lock combonations are 1976 or BUCK. The air conditioner keeps the main level nice and cool. It does, however, struggle to make the three story climb and cool the upstairs as well. Guest access This is a Private Room rental, but you do have additional spaces at your disposal. Make yourself at home in the living room, share your take out meals at the dining room table or a glass of wine on the back deck. You are welcome to take advantage of some of the kitchen features: the refrigerator is available to store any left overs. Help yourself to the glassware, dishes and silverware and the microwave for reheating your food. Sorry, the stove/oven is not available for your use. During your stay Due to an active social life, I am frequently not at home. I hope this reflects my feeling of trust having you as guests in my home and also removes that sense of the 'Hovering Host'. I do however, always make an attempt to meet you, as that is the best part of hosting. Many wonderful people have passed through my front door and I feel honored to have met them. With that being said, please do not hesitate to call or text with questions or concerns. Having called Traverse City home for 46 years, I will be happy to help make your stay memorable. Restaurant recommendations, directions, what's happening in the area? - just ask, or check out my guidebook. Other things to note Please make sure your profile is complete, especially if you are new to the site and have no reviews. When you reserve a room, give me a few details about yourself and your visit to Traverse City, ie: where you are from, traveling for business or pleasure, who you are traveling with.... It is only fair I know a little something about the people I am sharing my home with. I may not confirm the reservation otherwise. Short Term Rental Disclaimer: In accordance with Traverse City Short Term Law, the owner of the home lives and shares a common household. The owner has also legally registered the apartment with Travere City in compliance with the short term rental law. City Registration #THR-2022-014
