This in-law suite is an adventurer's dream place. Located on the Colorado National Monument, it is quiet, serene, and minutes from world-class mountain biking and hiking- trails are right out the front door. We're 5 miles from downtown Grand Junction. We completely remodeled in July 2017 for a modern space. We have some of the best views in the valley! Please do not attempt to book if you do not have reviews from airbnb. We don't accept reservations from anyone without positive reviews. The space This in law suite is the bottom floor of our home, with a separate and private entrance and porch that walks out onto the backyard. It is located directly adjacent to National Park land. We often have wildlife sightings- great horned owls, redtail hawks, and falcons as well as bobcats and coyotes. The space is great-- full kitchen, comfortable and modern living space, and king sized bed with a Tempur-pedic mattress. We are love our community in the Grand Valley and are happy to point you in the right direction of the best hikes, trails, restaurants, shops, and things to do here. Sleeping situation: King bed in bedroom, with two large closets. The sofa is a convertible queen, and we also have a queen air mattress with great reviews. Sheets/comforters are 400+ thread count and made from natural materials. Some things to note: - The apartment shares a wall (your ceiling is our kitchen/living room floor), and although we probably won't see you on your visit since it is a large property and separate entrance, be aware that there is normal family noise happening upstairs. We have three teenage boys and we are not quiet. That being said, we maintain quiet hours between 10pm and 8am, so you won’t hear the tv or ping pong at that time :-) - Our internet speed is 50 mbps, great for WFH. -Please do not reserve if you smoke or vape. We do not allow those activities on our property and prefer no smokers in our home. -Dogs are welcome but be sure to agree to the pet rules: dogs must be well-behaved, house trained, not excessive barkers, and are not allowed on any furniture, including the bed. PLEASE let us know prior to booking if you are bringing a dog. Guest access Plenty of room for bikes, outdoor gear, and more. Lots of hiking/biking from the front door. You can access the Colorado National Monument trails from the backyard. If you want to drive to the East entrance of the Monument, it's about 2 miles. We are also biking distance (approx 3 miles) to the Lunch Loops for some world-famous mountain biking or running/hiking. Other things to note We allow dogs, as long as they are well-behaved, get along with other animals and don’t bark. Also, we prefer guests not to leave the dogs unattended for more than a short time in the space. Please, no dogs on the furniture (including the bed).
