We have a beautiful, clean efficiency apartment- like suite in a **daylight basement with slightly low ceilings on the Kennebec River in a home. This is self check in. Great for the social distancing. We are close to Many colleges. Even a wine and cheese shop. We are just walks away from the Messalonskee trail, this is a trail that is alongside the Kennebec river. PLEASE see the pictures to make sure this is the right fit for you! The bathroom is very small. READ OTHER NOTES BEFORE BOOKING! This is a daylight "basement" suite. Much like a hotel room. Does not have a full kitchen. This kitchenette has a single cook top with cookware, a toaster oven and microwave. Your stay here is close to town but just out enough to enjoy a peaceful place to relax. We have created a coastal Maine feel to our decor to help you experience an authentic Maine stay. The suite has its own private entrance. With a keyless entry. I will send you a code in a message. There is a pathway that leds to the entrance. It has its own outdoor private seating area with a table and chairs and couch. You can use the river for sightseeing and set up a chair and see nature. We have plenty of ducks. Quite often an Eagle will fly by. Fish jump. Once a day a train will go across the railroad trusses. We are on a side street, a walk to the walking trail or to the local wine and cheese shop are not to far, just across the bridges. This is our home we do not wear mask at home. We are on a side street in a rural part of town. Benton is a small community. We usually use the amenities of the town of Fairfield, just across the river. We have neighbors that are quiet and friendly. We've lived here seventeen years. There's nothing else that compares. We love Maine's coastal area. We are an hour from Portland and fourty-five minutes to Belfast/Camden area. We love Bar Harbor and we can make it a day trip if we want. You can bike or walk locally. Traveling around the area is very easy. Take a taxi or uber to Waterville. READ BEFORE BOOKING!!!!!!! The path to the suite is un-even crushed rock. If you feel this could be a problem you can use the grass area to walk. Or if you have any medical leg and feet issues this is not be the place for you. There is a CLAW FOOT TUB WITH A SHOWER HANDLE ***the shower is short in height. The plumbing is a tank under the tiolet to accomadate a bathroom in a basement unit.
