Description
Quiet wooded mountain setting. Just outside Murphy, NC we are close to both the Tennessee and Georgia State lines. Take a trip to the Casino in Murphy or a short drive to Blue Ridge or Blairsville in Georgia. Beautiful hiking trails are close by, as are lakes, rivers, and waterfalls. The space This second story apartment is accessible by uncovered outdoor wooden stairs. The apartment is above the (un-used) garage and has a private entrance. In summer you will also have access to the private outdoor shower. The National Forest starts on the other side of the driveway and provides immediate access. We are surrounded by trees on all sides, so open fires are strictly prohibited inside and outside the apartment! This includes burning candles and smoking. Guest access Parking space is in front of the garage. Check-in is any time after 2pm. Check-out is at 10 am. Other things to note The property is on top of a mountain, so cell service is spotty sometimes. We do not have cable or a TV in the room, only Fiber Optics. For longer stays the room will be cleaned once a week. Towels can be exchanged at any time during your stay, and dishes can be brought down to be cleaned daily if needed. We are not opposed to you having visitors while on our property, but no additional guests are permitted to stay overnight. No pets! There are folding chairs and a small table inside the apartment for use on the little balcony. Please bring everything back inside after use and don't leave them outside overnight. The apartment and surrounding area are not suitable for small children. Do not let children go outside unsupervised. There is a lot of wildlife on this mountain, including lots of deer coming close to the house. I have seen a mountain lion next to the driveway. We also have several opossums, lots of rabbits, turtles, and snakes. We do have pest control but there will always be little flying creatures trying to get inside, especially if you leave the light on and the door open. We are in the middle of a forest after all, and these creatures and animals have been here a lot longer than us. Please minimize the opportunities for bugs to come inside!
