Our river paradise is a post and beam log cabin built with reclaimed turn of the century hand hewn barn beams. Set on the bank of one of Wisconsin's finest trout waters, the N Branch of the Pike River. Enjoy over a 1/4 mile of river frontage. The space Cabin was completed in 2013 with wood shop and sleeping loft completed in 2014. Built with reclaimed lumber from 4 turn of the century barns. Truly a labor of love! In the cabin there is a loft with queen bed and full bed. Linens and towels included. In the wood shop there is a sleeping loft that has 5 bunk beds (total 10 beds) plus 2 cots. Bedding is not provided so bring sleeping bags and pillows. The bunk beds are "old school" rope beds with a mat across the ropes. Surprisingly comfortable! Our kitchen is fully stocked with dinnerware, utensils, towels, pots, pans; etc. Enjoy trout fishing, grouse & deer hunting, abundant berry picking, xc skiing, tobogganing, snow shoeing and hiking to nearby waterfalls. Cabin is on the bank of the N Branch of the Pike River, which Jay Ford Thurston in his book Spring Creek Treasures - Wisconsin's 100 Best Trout Steams, rates the N Branch of the Pike at #8 of the top 100. Guest access Rustic setting with all the modern conveniences. There is a cabin list of things that you might want to check out. Many waterfalls, little lakes, rivers, and country restaurants are referenced in a cabin book. Other things to note There is not A/C, however, there is a ceiling fan in the cabin and wood shop as well as box fans. The evenings are usually cool, however, there is an occasional muggy night in summer. No wifi is available. Cell phone is spotty in the cabin.
