This modern yet cozy log cabin is completely custom and hand built! Features knotty pine cathedral ceilings with a beautiful floor to ceiling fireplace, a spiral staircase to a large open loft, modern kitchen with a large farm house sink and a beautiful double vessel sink bathroom. Enjoy sunset views and the best star gazing around from the large back deck while soaking in the hot tub, or enjoy dinner and smores around the firepit! Experience the true beauty of Arizona the way it's meant to be! The space This cabin is a short 2 mile drive off hwy 64 down a gravel/dirt road. It has 2 bedrooms downstairs that sleep two adults each, and a large open loft area upstairs that sleeps 4 adults with 2 queen beds. All bed linens and towels are provided along with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand lotion. A few board games are also provided in the living room. It can accommodate a 9th guest if sleeping on the couch is acceptable to you (it's very comfy!), It has a cozy couch cover and we provide a nice microplush blanket, extra comforter, and pillow. You can enjoy the beautiful fireplace as you drift to sleep. **Please keep in mind there is only one bathroom when booking for a larger group. A large tv (65") is provided in the master bedroom, a smaller tv (36") and dvd player is provided in the living room, both with direct tv. The dining table seats 6, and a folding table with 4 chairs is also provided to accommodate larger groups. Guest access Check in: 4:00pm Check out: 10:00am Self check-in with keypad Other things to note Back Yard: Outside there is a large back deck with a hot tub, picnic table, propane BBQ grill, and propane fire pit. Fire restrictions are very common in Northern Arizona, so there may be restrictions on the use of the propane grill and propane fire pit during your stay. Please check the Coconino County website for current conditions. Kitchen: Basic food items are provided such as salt, pepper, and cooking oil, along with an assortment of condiments and anything else that has been left behind by previous guests. We also provide coffee grounds for the coffee maker along with sugar and non dairy creamer. Laundry: There is not a washer and dryer available in the cabin. There are two laundromats in town, one at the Mustang gas station, 609 E Route 66 which is open 24 hours, you can get change and detergent in the gas station. The other is at 235 E Route 66 open 6am to 830pm, they have a change machine and detergent for purchase. Guest Access: You will have the entire house to yourself. The property is used for some light storage outside beneath the house by the owner, please do not disturb. Driving: Please be aware you will need to drive on a gravel/dirt road approx 2 miles to get to the cabin from hwy 64. Depending on amount of use the road gets in between scheduled maintenance, it can become bumpy at times. If you are traveling during winter months please note there may be snow on the ground you will need either front wheel (chains recommended), 4 wheel, or All wheel drive vehicles to access the neighborhood. If you are traveling during Spring or Summer monsoon months, please note the roads may be wet. Local Weather: Weather is generally moderate during the summer months, with monsoons in the late summer which makes for beautiful afternoon and evening thunderstorms. It is cold with snow in the winter. Please be aware in winter months with heavy snow front wheel drive (chains recommended), four wheel drive, or all wheel drive is recommended as we are located on a rural dirt road, but snowfall varies from year to year. The road is normally plowed after each snow storm. Speeding: Please observe the 25 Mph speed limit as there are open range horses and cattle grazing in the neighborhood along with wild animals such as elk, deer, and coyotes.
