Ocean Views of Somes Sound at the Command Post

The Command Post is a charming one-bedroom retreat tucked away in the quiet village of Hall Quarry. Set on a gentle hillside and surrounded by the mountain ranges of Acadia National Park, this cozy home offers sweeping views of the stunning Somes Sound. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable bedroom plus a living-room sofa that opens into a queen bed—perfect for extra guests or family members. It’s an ideal home base for relaxing, exploring, and soaking in the beauty of Mount Desert Island. The space The Command Post is a one bedroom home, with a king size bed, that sits on a hill overlooking Somes Sound and several of Acadia's mountains. From the deck you can sit and enjoy the ocean views and also sites of a small quarry. During the spring and summer months, you can be serenaded by the frogs that live in the quarry. Guest access Guests can enjoy a short walk from the house to the water, where you’ll have access to a shared dock on Somes Sound. Feel free to bring along your own kayaks to explore the sound at your own pace. Other things to note A $150 pet fee applies for guests bringing a dog. Please note that cats are not permitted due to an allergy. Rentals are Saturday to Saturday, though other arrangements can be made if available. Longer stays of two weeks or more are also welcome—just check availability.
