Joya is in a separate building on the villa grounds with its own garden patio. The building is shaded by trees and keeps you cool after spending your day on the beach or shopping in Sayulita's markets. Your apartment has a private garden patio in front with a bistro table to enjoy the quiet mornings. Your private patio leads to sliding doors entrance to the studio apartment. There is a queen bed, seating area and full kitchen as well as bathroom. There is a built-in closet area for storage and personal belongings. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head. The studio has a brand new air-conditioning unit and ceiling fan for your comfort. The rooftop is a shared space for all guests of the property and is at the same level of the palm trees and feels like you are in the treetops. There is a small dipping pool to relax, pool loungers to get some sun and a seating area if you want to have some margaritas and catch the golden sunset light. Sayulita is best explored by foot or bicycle but you could also rent a golf cart. It is an 8 min walk to the beach, a 10 min walk to cafes, bakery and restaurants and a 15 min walk to the lively town center. Other things to note This property is not appropriate for children and guests must be 21 year old and older only. There are no dogs or pets allowed under any circumstances. We have an exemption from Airbnb for accommodating service and support animal. If you are found to be on property with a pet this is a violation of stated house rules and your reservation will be cancelled immediately. There are stairs you must climb to get to the room and the rooftop. Smoking is ONLY allowed on the rooftop. WIFI in most residential areas in Sayulita is unreliable due to strained infrastructure. Because of the house's distance from the nearest cell tower, cell reception is also unreliable. We recommend you have a backup way to connect to the internet if you require consistent access (bring a mobile hotspot) or connect from any of the cowering space or awesome cafes in town. We are happy to provide cafe and restaurant recommendations if you need! Occasionally parts of town lose water and electricity especially when it is very hot and/or when there is a storm. This is normal and usually power is restored in 4-6 hours. Public utilities stop providing water when there is a large influx of people in town. While this is outside of our control we do have backup measures. We have a backup generator to ensure the water pump continues to work during a power outage. We also can have a privater water company deliver water. Please understand that without power it means there are periods of time where there is no internet access. Please keep in mind that being in the heart of the jungle that there will always be insects, lizards and birds on the property. We do our best to keep them out of the rooms but whenever windows and doors open they will enter. That is part of outdoor living in the jungle and happens at even 5 star hotels. We provide bug spray for our guests comfort. If you have a phobia or cannot accept bugs we respectfully suggest you book elsewhere as we cannot refund for the presence of bugs.
