This loft style apartment, located on the second floor of a 100 year old building in the tourist district of Sault Ste. Marie, MI was recently completely re-modeled. Featuring historic elements blended with quality finishes, it's immaculate and well appointed, but still casual and welcoming. You'll have an easy walk to shops, restaurants, coffee shops and many area attractions. And it features one of the finest views of the Soo Locks in town. (Unfortunately, guests must be 18 or older). The space This apartment has recently been completely remodeled. We kept the original maple floors where possible and removed plaster to expose 100 year old bricks. Aside from that, everything is new, clean, modern, and comfortable. There's a brand new fridge, gas stove and dishwasher. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, and there's also a twin daybed with twin trundle in the great room. The 14 foot ceilings and large windows add to the spaciousness of the apartment. Vintage leaded glass windows allow the transfer of natural light throughout. Every feature of the bathroom is completely new, and the washer and dryer are brand new as well. We regret that this space is not able to accommodate children under the age of 18. Guest access This apartment is on the second floor of a historic building and does not have an elevator. There are three steps to enter the building, then a staircase to reach the apartment. If stairs are an issue for you, please do not book this apartment. Other things to note Under no circumstances do we allow parties or gatherings of any sort in this space, without our direct permission. Guests found violating this rule will be asked to leave immediately and will not receive a refund. We regret that we are no longer able to accept any guests under the age of 18. There is a retail business on the main floor of the building and unfortunately, there have been repeated issues with little ones running and playing in the apartment. While this is perfectly acceptable behavior, it causes disruption for the downstairs tenant. As a result, we have had to institute an age requirement of 18 and older for all guests.
