The living area is designed for relaxation, with a small couch and a dining table for two, which can also serve as a work desk. The space seamlessly connects to the private terrace, inviting you to unwind al fresco. The fully equipped kitchen offers: - Fridge, oven, microwave, and 4 induction cooking plates - Nespresso machine with complimentary coffee - Tea kettle with a selection of fine teas - All essential kitchen utensils An airy corridor leads you through the home, offering lake views as it connects the living room, bedroom, and bathroom. You’ll also have a front-row view of George Clooney’s villa on the opposite shore! :) Location & Accessibility Olive at The Big House offers a perfect location for exploring Lake Como: - Just 20 minutes by car to Como town and 25 minutes to Bellagio - The C130 bus stop is 150 meters away, connecting you to both towns and other lake villages - The public boat dock is a mere 100 meters from the property, making it easy to explore the lake by boat. Please note: Due to the hilly terrain of Lake Como, there are stairs leading to the property from both the road level and the boat dock. If stairs are a concern, this may not be the right choice for you. We recommend packing light with bags or backpacks rather than large suitcases. Guest access All spaces at Olive at The Big House are for you to enjoy. The only shared spaces (with 2 other units) is the large are the garden and the common terraces. There are 5 public parking lots in the area (complimentary), the closest being 3 min walk and the furthest about 8 min walk. NB - during the summer months be aware that it gets busy around here, but between the 5 lots, you should always be able to find a spot for your car. The public boat docks are literally 3 minutes away, down the stairs and during the high-season from April to September the service runs more or less regularly (the best way to travel around the Lake!:) The C130 bus (that goes to both Como town and Bellagio and many other small town along the way) has a stop just up the stairs on the main road (3-5 min walk up the stairs from Olive at The Big House). We instantly fell in love with its beauty and serenity, so much so that we decided to make it our home.
