BEST LOCATION FOR EXPLORING SURROUNDINGS: Koper is an excellent starting point for exploring the surrounding towns. The Slovenian Istria has a really expansive offer to accommodate all tastes. Venice is less than 200 kilometres away from Koper, which makes it a perfect destination for a one day trip. Of course, the visit of Venice from the sea is an especially exceptional experience. HOST RECOMMENDATION: A walk by the sea is always nice (you can walk all the way to Izola), and we also suggest you go to the (award-winning) Koper Central Park along the Semedela promenade.
