Like most of San Francisco, there is a large but harmless population of homeless people in the Mission. The space THE APARTMENT: This third-story walk-up apartment lends itself well to privacy. The guests' bathroom and bedroom are in the back of the building. Our bedroom, office and study are in the front. We have our own bathroom adjoining our bedroom, so the apartment's bathroom and shower are strictly for guest use. There is a large screen TV with Netflix in the bedroom. Guest access Guests enjoy a spacious bedroom and a full private bathroom. Use of the kitchen is restricted to morning coffee or tea. If you are on a budget and do not plan to eat out or order in, this is not the listing for you. We look forward to getting to know our guests, but we ask that they NOT set up laptops in the kitchen or dining room or watch videos on their phones in these common areas. During your stay We look forward to hanging out with our guests and getting to know them, especially if they are from outside the United States. However, we respect those who wish to simply come and go without feeling the need to engage, and we reserve the right to do the same. Other things to note THE APARTMENT IS A THIRD STORY WALK-UP. IF YOU CANNOT BRING YOUR BAGS UP THE STAIRS ON YOUR OWN -- THIS MAY NOT BE THE PLACE FOR YOU. HOMELESS Like most of San Francisco, there is a large but harmless population of homeless people in the Mission. The BART station at 16th is particularly colorful. VERY STRICT NO SHOES POLICY!!! Please remove your shoes upon entry and leave them there. DO NOT bring shoes upstairs into your room. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING OR VAPING INSIDE THE APARTMENT, ON FIRE ESCAPE, OR IN THE FRONT DOOR ALCOVE. If you need to smoke/vape, please do it 20 feet from the building. We ask that food ordered in be enjoyed in the DINING ROOM and not the bedroom. This not only keeps the bedroom free of potential food messes, but it also keeps it free of pests who might be attracted to crumbs. PARKING is generally not great. Most of the parking in the immediate area is metered. Thursday through Saturday nights can be very difficult to find parking after 6pm, as the Mission fills up with weekend party goers. HOMELESS People Like most of San Francisco, there is a large but harmless population of homeless people in the Mission. The BART station at 16th is particularly colorful.
