Welcome to our cozy studio space in our home in the Upper Bloor West /Junction Neighborhood. We recently renovated our space and would love to share it with guests when we are not using it. Our home is located in a safe, friendly neighborhood, walking distance to The Junction (10 min), Bloor West Village (20 min) and High Park (30 min). We are also a short transit ride (40 min) or drive (20 min) away from Pearson International Airport or downtown Toronto. *Please make note of low ceilings* The space Our studio space is in the lower level of our Toronto home. My partner (Gord) and I live on the main and second floor with our Duck Tolling Retrievers, Lyla and Maisy. The space is bright and open, but the ceilings are low. The ceiling is 6ft high and there is a steal bean that runs the length of the apartment that is 5ft 7 1/2 inches so this may not be an ideal space for taller guests (although we have had several taller guests who have managed just fine). Our guest suite contains everything you need for a convenient, enjoyable stay. Highlights include: -A new, professionally renovated bathroom -A safe, well lit private entrance -A kitchenette including fridge with freezer, microwave, coffeemaker, kettle, dishes -Comfortable double bed with new down pillows and a down duvet -Futon (double mattress) with extra linens -Shared Washer and Dryer ($5 / load) -Clean towels and linens -A small table with 2 chairs -Wifi -Flat screen TV with cable and Chromecast -Closet and dresser -Space heater and fan Guest access Our studio space can be accessed through a private, well lit door. There is a small staircase just inside the entrance leading to the apartment. During your stay We have set up the studio space to be a very private unit in our home. That being said, we are available just upstairs or via text and are more than happy to answer any questions or provide information about the space, the neighborhood or the city. We have many great recommendations for places to eat and visit within walking distance. Other things to note A few things to make note of: -The studio space is located in the lower level of our home. The space is bright and open, but the ceilings are low. The ceiling is 6ft high and there is a steal bean that runs the length of the apartment that is 5ft 7 1/2 inches so this may not be an ideal space for taller guests. -Our only laundry facilities are located in the apartment, so if you are staying for more than a week we may ask for access to the laundry to do a couple of loads. -You are welcome to use the washer and dryer. We ask that you leave $5 / load (honour system) in the jar provided. -We have tried to consider everything you might need for your stay. If we have overlooked anything, please let us know and we will try our best to provide it. -There is no parking on site, however you can obtain a city of Toronto temporary street parking permit through their website for $16/night or $38/week .
