Cozy lakeside retreat close to UConn!

This special home with lake views from every room is newer construction with a nod to the traditional "lake camp"! It is constructed with the environment in mind. We have repurposed 100 year old barn wood floors throughout and the home is supported by solar power and geo-thermal heating and cooling. You may find us working on small projects as this has been a full time labor of love! If you have questions let us know. We live with a friendly, small dog, Max, an 11 year old Corgi mix. The space You will have your own private bedroom with ensuite as well as a small frig and microwave for that morning coffee on your own private porch. Our three season porch, main deck and outdoor space is accessible to our guests. During your stay We occupy this home full time and are as available to you as you like. We respect your privacy so you decide how much contact you wish to have. We are happy to make dining recommendations and more. The extra "b" in Airbnb is for breakfast and offered to you most mornings from 7:30-9:30 AM. We drop off outside your door at the little station created just for this purpose. Other things to note We are close to the University of CT (go Huskies) and Eastern CT University. We have many natural areas to explore for hiking, biking, water sports and more. There are countless breweries, vineyards, theaters and much more. This region is host to countless Farmer's Markets, Flea Markets and Antiquing. We are close to the "Quiet Corner" of CT known for Antique shops, vintage stores, country fairs and farm to table restaurants.
