Myocum Rd Organics is a 6 acre certified organic farm in the rural community of Myocum. Nestled on the outskirts of Byron Bay and a short 15 minute drive to other local towns Mullumbimby, Bangalow, Federal and Brunswick heads you will be perfectly positioned to do as much or as little as you please. There is a great supply of local cafes, shops, pubs, waterfalls, water holes, beaches, rivers and scenic look outs to enjoy or just sit back and watch the cattle and horses do their thing. The space The 3 bedroom cottage is at the top of the property giving a wonderful outlook and was originally moved there from the neighbouring dairy in the late 40’s via bullock train. The property is utilised to grow organic produce that is sold to local suppliers and markets and incorporates the cottage and shed/studio at the top of the property, a spring fed dam, citrus orchard, open farm areas and a large netted commercial growing area. The home has been renovated internally and newly painted. Furnishing are clean, modern and simple reflecting the nature and intention of the property. There are 3 bedrooms, a main bathroom and full ensuite, central living room and open plan kitchen. There is a lovely deck and bi folds that you can open and enjoy the space overlooking the property and neighbouring grazing areas. There is also a second covered rear deck. The cottage also utilises rainwater, solar and biolytic waste management. Instagram: Myocumrdorganics Guest access Guests are welcome to explore the property however we do ask that they stay out of the commercial garden and any paddock where produce or flowers are being grown. There is a nice tree with a swing in it next to the cottage and plenty of area to run around or enjoy a picnic out on the grass or beside the dam. We have just constructed a new kitchen garden in front of the cottage that incorporates herbs, greens, flowers and some veg which guests are welcome to use. Other things to note This is a rural property that has an open dam, farm machinery and infrastructure. While there are no large animals on our property the adjoining properties have large cattle and horses. Any children staying will need to be supervised when outside the cottage. Being located in the Australian countryside we sometimes have local wildlife come to visit. We do have bees and other insects on the property.
