Countryside retreat near Whitstable & Canterbury

The Hopper Huts are placed perfectly to enjoy wonderful Kent. Whitstable and Canterbury are a short drive, and Selling Station (short walk or drive) provides routes to London. See Lucy's guidebook for inspiration. The huts have been thoughtfully revived to create self-catering homes, dedicated to preserving history of hop picking. With plenty of private, off-street parking, The Scuppet sleeps up to four (including a sofabed). Please see Lucy’s listings for 2-bedroom units. The space The Scuppet is light and airy with a modern finish throughout. It has been punctuated with thoughtful touches to celebrate the heritage of this traditional hop pickers hut. The glass ceiling welcomes an abundance of natural light, and south facing doors provide a sense of the outdoors. The kitchen features a breakfast bar and stools, alongside all essential cooking appliances and equipment. There is ample dining space in the open plan living area which also features a bio-ethanol fireplace. The bedroom boasts a comfortable king-size bed while the bathroom features a large shower and locally sourced products. For additional guests, a sofa-bed with pocket sprung mattress is available in the living area. A private courtyard is set with a dining table and chairs. Seating is also available on the terrace in front of the huts, to enjoy the south facing view. Guests have exclusive access to BBQ and laundry facilities, as well as an outdoor gym and table tennis table. Guest access Guests will find ample off-road parking. Other things to note With Fast Wifi at 219 Mbps and a comfortable table and chairs, guests are able to work easily from The Scuppet. We welcome well behaved dogs to The Scuppet. There is a reservoir on private land next to The Hopper Huts which is extremely deep and dangerous. It is securely fenced but for the safety of your dog we ask for it to be kept on a lead when in the outside space.
