Description
Step into the past! On the National Register of Historic Places, you'll love the ambience of this early 1800's home. Antique but with modern conveniences. A little rough in places, but it is 200 years old. It is close to Lexington, Frankfort, and Georgetown, but in a small, friendly, community. Only 14 miles and about 20 minutes to the Kentucky Horse Park. But at least 45 minutes to the Ark. Pet friendly. The space Lots of space. Three bedrooms, 2 on the main floor and 1 upstairs. We have removed a bunch of the pillow shams and ornamental pillows due to Covid. That way we can bleach, bleach, bleach and use hot water on everything. Our goal is to keep you safe. And have you enjoy the experience of a 200 year old house. Kind of like stepping back in time. Guest access You have the whole house to yourselves. Fire pit in the patio area. There's a woodstove in the tv area if you want to fool with it, but the house is comfortable with central heat/air. One bedroom with sitting area is upstairs. There are 2 downstairs bedrooms Other things to note If you want it, book it now. Even though we are off the beaten path, we tend to book up. We have a post office, 1 gas station, a Dollar General, and 1 restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch and sometimes for dinner. There's also a yummy bakery that has donuts and breakfast sweets. But we're an easy drive from Georgetown, Frankfort, and Midway. There is a small park across the street with a walking path and exercise stations. Scott County has recently gone wet so we now have a liquor store and 2 other locations that carry beer.
