Sherry's Single with Shared Bath

Perfect for an economical stay with many amenities provided. Work guests love self-check-in, full kitchen, complimentary self-serve breakfast, street parking, great shared-space & laundry service! Clean, convenient, safe, peaceful. Hosts respond quickly. They are hospitable, helpful, accommodating. The space Our home is surrounded by trees and vine-covered fences which house many birds and squirrels. I love hearing their birdsongs and watching their antics from the deck. You will find our home restful, clean and attractive with many amenities including high speed internet/free wifi, complimentary breakfast full kitchen use and laundry service. As you enter, everything is open and nice with many plants and newer flooring. Go through the shared kitchen and living room. Down the hall you'll find our 3 guest rooms with 2 guests sharing the bathroom in the hall. It will be clean with many toiletries provided. There is signage of shared bathroom etiquette. The linen closet and master bedroom with en suite are across the hall. Your 9x9 room has great Wi-Fi, 32" Smart TV. Netflix is included (No Cable). Hand-crafted signage gives passwords, safety, location of needed items and amenities. The shared area with cathedral ceilings includes a bright, eat-in kitchen with new appliances. The frig has dedicated space for your food. Many work guests enjoy cooking their own meals with all the conveniences at hand. The living room boasts a comfortable sectional. Books, local art, promoting local landmarks, dining options are available in the livingroom. Many guests also enjoy relaxing at the tables and chairs on the deck in nice weather. Smoking is permitted on the deck with ash tray provided. The hosts have their private quarters in the lower level. They will greet you if they are in, but they let you have your privacy. Co-host/husband Bill works from home, so he is available and responsive if a need arises. Sherry works only 7 blocks away at the high school from 7-3. Self-served breakfast is always available. Help yourself to coffee, tea, cereal, milk, toast, fruit, etc. Sherry often leaves treats on the breakfast counter. Guest access Our 25-year old home is tucked back in an older residential neighborhood 5 blocks off the main streets. GPS will guide you. Your uber/lyft driver will have not problem finding us. You can come down 25th or Herman St, but if you come down Megerle off Warren St, you won't have to turn around, just pull in. There's plenty of street parking on our side of the street. Two spaces in front of the house (between the driveway and stop sign) and two spaces behind the driveway are usually available. Covington is over 200 years old and has some amazing areas, sites and restaurants. Only minutes away, our sister cities, Cincinnati and Newport, KY are waiting for you to explore, shop and dine. Florence, KY also offers great shopping and dining options. There are so many beautiful parks, trails on two rivers and attractions to enjoy in beautiful weather. Living room, kitchen and dining area are shared spaces as well as the deck. Smoking is allowed on the deck with ashtray provided. As many work guests have longer stays, Sherry provides complimentary laundry service. Just message her when you need laundry done and any special instruction for temperature, wash and dry type, then set your laundry basket in the living room. (She does not fold or iron your clothes. Ironing supplies are in the linen closet.) Doing your own cooking is allowed; we have a new stove and microwave. There is space in the refrigerator/freezer for your food/drink items. Use the bins/trays provided (Can label your bags/containers, if desired.) Clean-up is essential. Enjoy your cooking, but be considerate of others. During your stay We give you your privacy but are quick to respond if you need something or have a question. We are a nice, friendly couple who enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. We hope you feel at home and will do our best to accommodate you. Your stay can be as private as you like. Come and go as you please, being thoughtful of other guests, who may be sleeping. We mostly host work stays. We sometimes host night shift/day sleepers. Request light blockers if not dark enough. If you have any questions, please message us. Our private quarters are in the lower level. We will respond quickly. We want you to have a great experience here! Light breakfast such as coffee, tea, toast, fruit or cereal are always available. You may also find fresh muffins and fruit. You may grab the skillet and make eggs too. There is signage letting you know where to find everything. You may eat at the dining table or on the patio. Please do not take food or drinks out of the kitchen to your room or the living room. (Non-spill containers and water are allowed.) Other things to note Sherry and Bill have received Covid vaccinations. They practice social distancing in the airbnb; masks are not required. Sherry keeps a clean house and takes enhanced steps to clean and sanitize to make it safer for everyone. All guests must also do their part to keep others safe in the airbnb. If you are sick before arriving, do not enter. You may cancel your reservation with full refund. We have 3 guest rooms here, so most likely there will be another guest or two across the hall. Some guests work nights/sleep days. Everyone is gracious and thoughtful of other guests, so there has never been a problem. We have our private quarters in the lower level and are always available if needed. Bill works from home and my school is only 7 blocks away (home in the summer). Whether you are in the area for business or pleasure, we will provide a safe, comfortable, clean, quiet, pleasant, and relaxing environment for you. If you have any question, please contact us. Our goal is to provide a 5-star, stress-free experience for you! Free street parking is available, two spaces in front of our house, another space past the driveway and more down the street. Please do not park in front of neighbors' houses. Note: No one with GPS or using uber/lyft has had any problem finding our home. As many work guests have longer stays, Sherry provides complimentary laundry service. Just message her when you need laundry done. There is a laundry basket in your closet which you can fill and set out for Sherry (with any temperature instructions). Doing your own cooking is allowed in our full kitchen. We have a new stove and microwave. There is dedicated space in the refrigerator/freezer for your food/drink items. Use the guest trays or label your bags/containers. Cleanup is essential. We usually hand wash; don't really use the dishwasher. Enjoy your cooking, but be considerate of others. We normally have a very quiet neighborhood. Note however, there is potential for noise as we have train tracks about a block away, a neighbor with little dogs and another with several children. There is also the occasional noisy vehicle and sirens, as in any city. Bill sometimes restores vintage items with power tools.
