Located on a quiet secluded private road on the north shore of Long Island, the walk to the beach is less than 5 minutes. Full bath, full kitchen, living room and bedroom with sitting area and walk in closet are at your disposal. Clean, bright and inviting! Second floor 750 square foot open floor plan with queen bedroom, updated full bath, new kitchen and living room with spectacular views of the water and nature preserve. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans and dishes. You have access to the outdoor enclosed shower (hot & cold water for 3 seasons). Four rooms in total...and the beach and the preserve! You have the entire second floor as well as a reserved off street parking spot. Your entrance is private with keypad lock (no keys to worry about!) allowing flexibility around self check in. I can be reached throughout the day by text. I live on the premises and am available in person from 6pm on in the evening. The space is in a secluded neighborhood with many summer only occupants. We are a coastal community and work together to keep our special area clean, eco friendly and enjoyable! The drive from Islip Airport on Long Island is approx. 30 minutes. From JFK, you can take the "train to the plane" and be at your destination in one hour with a short drive from the railroad station to Makamah Beach Road! If you enjoy the water, swimming, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding are available if you bring your own equipment. There are nature trails to walk and bike ride less than 1 mile away in the 160 acre Makamah Preserve. Crab Meadow golf course is also available within less than 2 miles (you can see Hole 10 from the back window at the flat). The public beach with access at the beginning of the road is quiet and is a beautiful place to relax and swim, for the people that know about it! It is never crowded!
