Our place is centrally located in Amityville, Long Island and is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Our neighborhood is safe and quiet. It is close to restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, the beach, and nightlife. Our room easily sleeps 2 people. Our bedroom has a king size bed. The host stays in the cottage attached to the house. The host does not reside in the house. However, the host is available to answer any questions you have during your stay. The common areas on the first floor of the home is accessible for guests. The bedroom and shared bathroom are located on the second floor. Guests that book this room must be comfortable walking up and down a flight of stairs. The kitchen, living room, and dining room are all located on the first floor. Guests will be able to enter and exit the house through the front door. The host stays in the cottage attached to the house. The host does not reside in the house. However, the host is available to answer any questions you have during your stay. The easiest way to get around is by car. The long island railroad (LIRR) is about one mile away. You can take a cab ($3-$5) per ride to get to the LIRR. You may also take the bus. The S1 bus stop is located about five blocks away, which you can take to the LIRR. The LIRR will take you to Manhattan or Downtown, Brooklyn, depending on where you would like to go. Parking: There is plenty of street parking. You may also park in our driveway. Local Transportation: We are within one mile of the Amityville Station on the Long Island Railroad Road (LIRR), which you may take to get to New York City, downtown Brooklyn and the New York City subway system. Closest Airports: - McArthur Airport - 21 miles (30 minute drive) - JFK Airport - 24 miles (40 minute drive) - Laguardia Airport - 33 miles (55 minute drive) - Westchester Airport - 53 miles (80 minute drive) - Newark Airport - 57 miles (90 minute drive) There is wifi available at the house. However, it appears that works intermittently in the rooms. It works best in the common areas. We have been working to address this problem and will update this section once the issue has been resolved. Please no smoking or pets in the house. All items in the kitchen are available to our guests, as needed. We ask however, that you wash any dishes, cups, silverware, pots, or pans used during your stay. We also request that guests return all dishes, cups, silverware, pots, pans, (unused) spices, coffee, etc. to their original location.
