First of - Kathy’s Kottage offers a uniquely private, warm and inviting detached cottage. We are not a huge commercial venture, but owned, operated, maintained, and cleaned by hosts who live within 150 yards. The Kottage is our only offering. We charge a cleaning fee of $35 a stay, so there isn't a list of chores at check out. We take up to 4 hours between every stay to extensively clean and disinfect every surface. We are proud of the Kottage as shown in every review over the last four years. Indoors you’ll find a kitchenette with small fridge, microwave, toaster, electric pot, coffee maker that’s fully stocked with silverware, dishes, bowls, and cups. We offer a complimentary breakfast of English muffins, oatmeal, pop tarts, cereal, milk, tea and coffee. The Bedroom/living area can sleep 4 with the queen size sleeper sofa. Plenty of activities indoors including a Smart TV w/50 channels and access to streaming services, Wi-Fi, videos, games, and books. Our Motto is "Rest, Relax, and Renew." We own three acres situated on a hill. You are welcomed to visit all our outdoor spaces! We have several outdoor sitting areas, two pergolas, a gas grill, Koi pond, eating area, and a wood burning space. There are tons of trees and flower gardens. Kathy is retired and looks forward to accommodating her guests. I hope to welcome you to my wonderful Kottage! We are in a residential country setting. The views are amazing! Contrary to popular belief this portion of Kansas is rolling and lovely. We are outside the quaint town of Tonganoxie Kansas. You will need to drive to access restaurants and activities in the area. We are just two minutes from several local eateries and fast-food restaurants. There are also two grocery stores and bars in town. The Kottage is nestled in the rolling hills of Kansas. Close to the quaint community of Tonganoxie. Located just off I-70 and within thirty minutes from Lawrence, Kansas City, The Legends and Kansas Speedway, or Leavenworth. The Kansas City Airport, Topeka, Arrowhead Stadium and Kauffman Stadium are an hour away.
