Garden Casita with Private Patio

Modern studio tucked behind our home, the Casita has a private patio and garden nook. A sliding door creates seamless indoor/outdoor living. It also has new furnishings, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and private parking. A 10mn walk takes you to charming Temescal for restaurants, bars and cafes. Downtown Berkeley and San Francisco are accessible by BART/subway (~15mns walk from the house) and by car. Perfect for business travelers or grand parents visiting family. We look forward to hosting you! The space The Casita is in the back of our property (secured with front gate with passcode) and it has its own private entrance with keypad lock. Make yourself at home - everything in the Casita is for your enjoyment. The kitchen is stocked with all of the cooking essentials, coffee machine, oven, electric range, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator and chef lighting. There is an extendable dining table that can sit 4 people. The bedroom has a queen size bed with lots of natural light and a view of our blossoming plum tree. The closet is attached to the bedroom and has a door to a shared eco-friendly washer and dryer. The Casita has its own WiFi. There's an adjustable, wall-mounted flat screen TV with Roku so you can access your online streaming accounts and a Chromecast to stream your favorite online shows/movies from your device. The bathroom is newly renovated and has a modern stone tile curb-less shower with waterfall shower head and shower hose. Eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided, as well as hair dryer and towels. Enjoy your morning coffee, meals or a glass(es) of wine on the private patio. The private patio has planters with young flowers and vines, and looks out into our backyard which is in process of being re-landscaped. You have a dedicated parking space in our driveway. Guest access The private patio, outdoor table and chairs on it are all yours; however, the use of the main house's backyard couches and table is by permission only. Other things to note 1) During the rainy season (winter), small household ants may appear in isolated areas. We have successfully treated the ants with traps and other interventions (borax and peppermint oil, not toxic to humans) that could take 1-2 days to get rid of the ants. If this happens during your stay, we would work with you to bring in traps, clean, and monitor the situation. We apologize in advance and appreciate your flexibility / communicating with us. Feel free to contact us for more information. 2) The laundry area is accessible from the Casita and from the workshop through the other door. You can lock the door to the laundry room from the inside of the Casita.
