This little cottage has a view of the ocean, is private and in a quiet neighborhood, and is great home base for exploring the local area, or just enjoying reading by the fire. The house has all that you need for a relaxing get away. We lived in this home for several years and therefore it has all that you need such as a full kitchen, linens, washer/dryer, etc. Just no internet is provided. We also take COVID-19 seriously and ask that you observe all recommended precautions. This is a small, one-bedroom house in the heart of Trinidad. It is on the same property that my wife and I live on. We are in a separate building towards the back of the property. You will have your own parking and your own private access. We advertise 4 guests but our permit limits that to 2 adults and 2 children 12 or under. You will park in a carport, on the north side of the house, down a short driveway. The driveway is used by our two neighbors to the north and west but there is space for all. There is a lock box in the carport where you will find a key. I send you the combination on the day you arrive. There is a "meet and greet" within the first 24 hours of your arrival. I will be available by phone at all times if you need anything. Trinidad is small town. You can walk to a winery, 4 restaurants, beaches, forest trails and a market. We are about 23 miles from Redwood National Park and 13 miles from Arcata, a great college town, home to Humboldt State University. Trinidad is a fishing village with commercial and sport fisheries for crab, rockfish, halibut, and salmon. Gray whales are plentiful during their migration north, usually late April through May. We are also close to Redwood National Park and many other natural locations as well as many cultural and other festivals. We currently do not offer WiFi and while this may impact your decision to stay with us, we have had several guests say they appreciated this piece. WiFi is available at the nearby coffee shop if it is something you need while traveling. We also recently went 100% solar so if you appreciate having minimal impact, this is a great benefit
