This is a perfect family getaway, with enough space to actually sleep two families! The beach is only a 10min walk (children’s buckets/spades and crabbing kit included) and there is ample parking. The ground floor has a separate living room, with comfortable sofas to snuggle up on, a separate dining room and open plan kitchen, with breakfast bar and additional sofa and TV. # King sized beds in two bedrooms with wardrobe # Twin beds in one bedroom with wardrobe # Bunk beds in the other bedroom Guest access All your needs are catered for within a short distance from the property. There are two local supermarkets, deli and local newsagents which provide a great variety of food and drink, with Chinese, Indian and traditional fish & chips within easy reach for takeaway options. The beach is only a 10 minute walk away and crabbing and children’s beach toys are supplied! We do not provide beach towels. Other things to note Mersea Island is a wonderful and unusual location with main access to the island via a causeway, known as the Strood, which is covered on high spring tides. So, special attention must be paid to tide times gaining access to and from the island. Please get in contact regarding your arrival / departure times for this to be checked. If you get stuck waiting for the tide it can be up to an hour. Best to arrive an hour either side of the high tide of the day if over 5.0. The tides progress can be tracked on wwwstroodcam.couk
