You'll have views from each room of open space to the horses grazing the paddocks, ducks swimming in the dam and wildlife passing through the property. 5mins to Australia's biggest Rail Trail, directly across the road from South East QLD's biggest Dam Wivenhoe. Other things to do; Somerset Dam, Atkinson Dam, Mount Glorious scenic drive. It will be hard to know where to start. The space The house has 3 bedrooms, BR 1 Queen bed, BR 2 Queen bed, BR 3 Double bed, the kitchen has Fridge/Freezer, Oven, Coffee Machine, Toaster, Kettle, Microwave, stove & Dishwasher. Open plan living/dining with large 6 seater dining table, large lounge with reverse cycle a/c, flat screen TV however no aerial connection, we’ve provided a DVD player with a DVD selection. There are many retro board & card games for some old school family fun. The bathroom is separate from the toilet, we have added our fancy/quirky touches, but also left some original features. The front veranda is a nice place to sit and enjoy a morning tea or coffee. A large rear entertaining area with BBQ and fire pit (Weather permitting), Fire wood can be collected from around the property. The laundry has a washing machine and ironing station. Guest access The main entry to our property (Bona Dea Phoenix) is shared, the driveway splits to the two houses. Please close the gate. There is plenty of room to bring a trailer, caravan, or boat. 10mins to Wivenhoe Dam recreation areas; Boating, Fishing (permit required), Kayaking, Swimming & Picnicking (with Kangaroos). 2 mins from Wivenhoe Hill Trails; 12kms of Bush walking, mountain biking & Horse Riding. 5 min from Coominya Town; Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Pub, Corner Store, Fuel, Pharmacy & Post Office. 12 mins from Fernvale; Sunday Markets, Woolworths, Famous Fernvale Bakery, Pubs. 14 mins to Esk; Saturday & Sunday Markets, Antique Shops, Cafes, Pubs. 30 mins Somerset Dam; On water power boat activities Wakeboarding/surfing/skiing & jetskiing. 10mins from Atkinson Dam has just reopened to water sports including jet skiing and power boating including water skiing. 20 mins Mount Glorious scenic drive and walking trails. Less than an hour to Toowoomba; carnival of flowers & views over the ranges. With so many places to explore this is a great place to make your base while you spend your days exploring the area. Other things to note WIFI is not provided, phone signal available for most major providers. Wildlife sightings include koalas, goannas, dingos, native birds & green tree frogs. We have 6 horses on the property that are friendly, please don’t feed them. For your furry family members, we offer a fully fenced front yard for your dog with room to run around. For your horse, there are four 3x4.5m horse yards available At a cost of $15 per horse per night. More portable panelled yards can be erected if required for more horses. Plenty of room for float parking or bigger vehicles. Our property is on tank water, there is no mains water, please be considerate with your water usage. The water in the kitchen is filtered and safe to drink. Bedrooms not booked will be locked to keep cleaning expenses down. Guests have access to the entire house, less the office as it is used as our storage. Fire extinguisher, fire blanket and First Aid Kit are located in the kitchen, also a fire blanket in the Laundry. Smoke alarms are all interlinked and in every bedroom as per the new regulations and have been compliance checked. Smoking is only permitted in the outdoor entertaining area. Please wash any dishes before leaving.
