Located in The Hideout, an amenity filled lake community in the Northern Poconos, just a short 2 hour drive from NYC or Philly! Come enjoy over 3,000 square feet of comfort and luxury in this stunning chalet in the woods. The exposed beams and knotty pine tongue and groove walls and ceilings throughout instantly transport you to a woodland vacation retreat. The mix of simplistic Scandinavian, classic mid-century modern and wild bohemian styles make this a truly unique haven. The sky-high chimney, natural wood shingles and gambrel style roof will evoke a feeling of instant warmth when pulling up to this unique property. You enter in the back of the house on the main level into a massive, fully-stocked kitchen fit for a gourmet chef. The six foot island seats two and the adjoining dining area seats eight. In the sprawling living room you will find two distinct seating areas. On one side, snuggle into the comfy couches and binge the latest Netflix/Amazon/Hulu offering on the 65” tv. On the other, a magnificent floor-to-ceiling brick gas fireplace, with a cozy fireside sitting area. The second level boasts three bedrooms and one bathroom. The dazzling master is an oasis among the treetops with tons of light, a king sized bed, wood burning stove, fireside reading area and walk-in closet. The other two bedrooms each include one full wall of windows and queen beds. The bathroom has been beautifully updated and has a jetted jacuzzi tub with room for two! The recently renovated lower level includes a recreation room with a wood stove, convertible pool/ping pong table, 65” tv and seating area. The basement bedroom provides lots of privacy with a king sized bed and large bathroom with shower. There is a small home office area with desk and Mac Thunderbolt display. The fully equipped laundry room is also located on the lower level. In the warmer months, you will enjoy two elevated decks and a backyard. The back deck features a small bench to enjoy your morning cup of coffee while watching for wildlife - deer, beavers and turkeys graze the property daily. The front deck is the perfect spot to savor a meal any time of day cooked on the dual propane/charcoal BBQ at the table with room for six+ people. Or just chill in the lounge area which seats four. Sleeping accommodations include 4 beds, 3 comfortable full size couches that may sleep one adult each, 1 loveseat can sleep one child, 2 queen air mattresses and 3 twin air mattresses are also available for use upon request. For families with small children, 1 Pack 'n Play Quick Connect Playard with Portable Bouncer is available upon request. Guests will have access to all areas within the property perimeter with the exception of Admin Only areas. There are closets, cupboards and other areas of the house that are not for guest use. These are mostly storage for maintenance items as well as personal property of the homeowner. The areas are clearly marked. Available for guests needs 24/7 via text and phone. The Hideout, a complete, four-season, recreational community is part of the Wallenpaupack Watershed. The community has three main bodies of water commonly used for recreational purposes: Roamingwood Lake (198 acres); Deerfield Lake (25 acres); and Brooks Lake (9 acres). Also located within the community are Windemere Lake (1 acre); Hidden Lake (1 acre); and Big Springs Pond (3 acres). Guests are greeted by our Entrance Pond (3.2 acres) and eventually makes its way down to Lake Wallenpaupack via Ariel Creek. Swimming is only permitted during the summer season - Memorial Day through Labor Day when lifeguards are on duty. The community features 24 Hour Security, a Gated Entrance, Clubhouse, Lodge, Campgrounds, 250 Acres Of Pristine Woodlands, and a Dog Park. The Recreational Sports Complex features a first class Fitness Center and Aerobic Room, Saunas, Library, Card Room, two Indoor Tennis Courts, two Outdoor Tennis Courts , Indoor Shuffleboard Court, Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, Pickle Ball, Game Room/Arcade, Recreation Office, Children’s Room, Multi-Purpose Room all are housed at the Recreational Sports Complex in the North Section of the Hideout on North Fairway Drive. Stepping outside the sports complex, The Hideout has six additional outside tennis courts, two sets are lighted for night time play, a 2.7 mile Walking Trail, Mini Golf Course, South Recreation baseball field, two basketball courts, four shuffleboard courts, two bocce, six horseshoe pits, two volleyball courts, two handball/racquetball courts, four playgrounds, Community Garden, Art Center, Woodworkers Building, Ski Lift and Lodge, and Tubing Run. Guest badges are required for the use of all community amenities by non-members over seven years of age. Eight guest badges with pool access stickers are located on a hook underneath the mesh storage basket by the entry door. The primary rental group will also receive three amenity badges automatically within their rental packet. Those three amenity badges do not give you access to the pool or beaches. You will need to pay an additional $5 cash for entry to the pools or beaches. If you need any additional guest badges, you may purchase them for $5 at the POA office located behind the main gate (valid for one week). The POA office hours of operation are: Tuesday to Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Holiday hours are reduced, please inquire if you will be joining us on a holiday and require guest passes. Please note anyone over 7 years of age is required to display an Amenity Badge at all times when in common areas. Access to specific amenities, such as the pool, would require a pool pass sticker upon the amenity badge. The eight amenity badges in the home already have this. Specific amenity passes can be purchased for an additional fee by the Registration Department or at that particular amenity’s facility. There is parking on the property for 5 cars. Parking on the street is not permitted in The Hideout. If you park off of the property, you will receive a parking ticket and paying it will be your responsibility. The closest public transportation hub is Scranton, PA about 30 mins away. Buses and trains from Philly and NYC offer service. You will need a car to get to the home and to enter the community. Enterprise in nearby Honesdale, PA offers one way car rentals. Ride Sharing (Lyft/Uber) is not a thing here :) The Nest is a fully equipped smart home. A strong wifi signal will connect you to the internet throughout the indoor and outdoor spaces. You will find a G00GLE Hub or G00GLE Mini in the kitchen, main level and basement living rooms as well as all four bedrooms. Play music, ask for the weather forecast, follow recipes, etc. There are four tvs in the home. The massive 65” televisions in the main level and basement living rooms are wired for local cable service. The master bedroom also has cable. The basement bedroom television has a Roku. All streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.) are available on all televisions in the home. All of the televisions in the home have access to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and HBO Max. Please use the “Guest” profile to watch.
