Under an hour: Lincoln City beach, Salem & Carlton wineries. Hilltop oak forest location on 5 acres in rural America. Spacious 1 bedroom, 10' ceilings, windows galore, walk-out basement, private, clean, high-speed internet (1 gigabit). Long Term discounts. The space While our cleaning and sanitization practices might not be unique (as we hope all AirBnB hosts do the same), there are many things that we consider unique about Deer Haven. Here are some: 1. Seclusion in a beautiful Oregon hill top forest with coastal hills in the distance. Million dollar views. 5 Acres. 2. Centrally located and easy access to some of Oregon's best places to visit. 3. High Speed Internet that allows easy working from home even though we are rural. (We have a great high speed internet with 1 gigabit and ethernet plugs as well as WiFi. Devices that are not gigabit ready will likely experience 3-400 mbps. Our bandwidth is high and we have not had any complaints from those staying at Deer Haven. Please bring your own ethernet cables if you prefer to plug in. 4. 2 flat screen TV's: Great room and bedroom, with Apple TV device so you can easily sign in to your own accounts such as Netflix. 5. Mid-stay cleanings can be arranged for another cleaning fee and notice. 6. Additional lodging is on the property: If you are traveling with others and want lodging near each other, see if our other options are available: a) MerryOtt's Owl's Loft above the garage (check Airbnb), and b) a small bedroom/office suite (with a full bathroom) that adjoins your Deer Haven apartment (separated by locked doors). Check with me. 7. Restaurants open 24/7 at nearby Spirit Mountain Casino (unless there is a Pandemic, then call ahead!). 8. Over 100 trails are a short drive away and great for walking, ATV's, motorcycles and more. See the Guidebook provided. 9. Very spacious apartment with a rain shower and heated bathroom floors. 10. Ready for long-term stays, thus the dishwasher, washer and dryer and a private patio (covered) with a table and chairs. 11. Central air (heat pump) with your private thermostat. 12. Extra beds (sleeping futons-- 1 twin & 1 double) and linens are in the closet under the stairs (behind the brown double doors in your apartment). And the list goes on. Guest access You'll have access to the front half of the entire walk-out basement which consists of your spacious great room (kitchen, dinning area and living area), master bedroom suite with the adjoining bathrooms and walk-in closet. You can access the shared basement laundry room (sometimes used by the house cleaner). There is in a private back half of the basement, separated from from your apartment by double doors that you lock on your side. The back half of the basement includes the the shared laundry room (which you can use) and a rentable guest suite with an extra long twin bed, desk and bathroom with a tub. If you are not also renting that small guest suite, it might get rented to another (and they'll access it through the main floor upstairs (not through your apartment). Outside, you'll be able to use the lawn that your French doors open to, just beyond your private patio. We don't water in the summer but it is green during the lush (rainy) season. Other things to note Electric car charging: Contact the host to discuss electric car charging compatibility and availability. There is a Tesla Charger in the garage and a special outlet at the front of the garage. Guests who book at a time of a pandemic (or other such social happenings) are trusted to arrive healthy and to follow local guidelines or mandates so our locals can feel comfortable with out-of-town guests arriving. Our county is Yamhill and you can easily search for instructions. We follow guidelines for cleaning and sanitising. Power Outages/Surge Protectors: We experience short outages about twice a year. The house generator is designed to automatically turn on if there is a brown or black out. Surge Protectors: Guests are advised to BRING THEIR OWN SURGE PROTECTORS for computers, or other expensive electronics. We've never had a problem and don't expect you to. Cleaning and Special Service: There are no automatic daily or mid-stay cleanings provided but can usually be arranged with advance notice and an additional cleaning fee paid through the Resolution Center. Special services can be requested and if we can accommodate your request (i.e. a birthday or anniversary wine basket), payment can be done through AirBnB's Resolution Center (on line). Send me a message to inquire. Water & Septic Tank: Though we are in the boonies, we are hooked up to Grand Ronde water, not a well! Water pump: When water is used, you might hear the water pump. Septic tank: We have a septic tank--it is very important to flush only human waste and toilet paper, not "flushable" wipes or anything else. The sink food disposal is connected to the septic tank so it is important that only tiny particles of food go down the sink into the disposal. It is not designed to chop big food particles or deal with anything like celery or egg shells, etc. Internet: We have a high speed internet with good band width. Access Arrival Essentials: Once you reserve, you'll be given access (through your itinerary) to Guest Resources/House Manual which with essentials you'll need to write down such as our address, directions, parking and the DOOR CODE. Write Down the Essentials because between Willamina and our house, there is intermittent cell service until you connect to our WiFi for cell service. Very few cell providers have good signal out here in the boonies but the WiFi works great. Basic Supplies: We give all guests a starter supply of essentials (toilet paper, etc). Those staying longer with discounted prices are asked to please purchase needed supplies (including gas for the BBQ--which you can get from the Shell station in town) so we can continue to give the big discount for longer stays (and so if we are traveling, we don't worry about you running out of anything). Pet Owners: Please bring your own kennel and old towels for wiping down your animals. It is sometimes impossible to remove stains. Bringing your own old towels could save you from having to replace our towels due to stains. Some experienced pet owners who use AirBnB even bring their own bed covers to prevent pet fur and dander from landing on the bed and other things that might require extra cleaning expenses. Oregon weather: Plan to wear layers and check the hour-by-hour forecast before heading to the beach, no matter how nice it is here in the valley! Evenings are almost always chilly, making for great sleeping weather! Two ovens: 1. Big roaster oven (often used to do big turkeys or when a 2nd oven is needed due to all the holiday cooking) and 2. A table top oven (not as small as a toaster oven). It will allow for a pizza and a chicken. Brand: Caphalon. Particulars: "Quartz heating element delivers 40 percent more even heat and preheats faster (Compared to conventional tube heating element). Extra large capacity can fit a 12 inches pizza.
