We are true New Mexico! Our beautiful unique casita is up in the mountains just off the Turquoise Trail, with unobstructed mountain views, amazing sunsets & star gazing. Relax by the Koi pond, swing under the shaded arbor, sun on the deck or relax in your private courtyard. We are minutes to hiking, biking, skiing, golf & the scenic road to Sandia Crest yet a short 20 min drive to Abq and 42 miles to Santa Fe. Safe secure off road parking. All are welcome. The space Our beautiful Southwestern casita has a private entrance and courtyard, private bathroom and a strong hot shower! It is attached to our main house, but is peaceful, quiet and filled with local NM and Native American art. Antique furniture, wood ceilings, hand stuccoed walls, and Mexican tile in both the bedroom and bath. There is also a ceiling fan and AC. Extremely comfortable antique full size bed, with a Sealy Posturepedic Euro pillow top mattress, plenty of pillows and high quality cotton sheets. There is also a desk and wifi access. Refrigerator, microwave, good strong coffee, coffee pot, electric kettle, french press, plates, silverware, napkins, wine glasses in room. Flat screen 32" TV. Daily fresh home made breakfast included. Outdoor Weber bbq grill available for use year round. We live on nearly an acre of land, with several different sitting areas, a koi pond, picnic and shaded umbrella tables, covered and exposed deck, shaded seating under the arbor with rope swings/chairs, and mountain views to die for! There are 2 picnic tables, one by the BBQ grill and another up on the main deck. There is not a bad view from our property...we have amazing sunsets and fantastic star gazing; you can see the Milky Way from our house! There are lots of outdoor activities nearby: year round hiking and biking, seasonal golfing and skiing. There are 5 local restaurants, 2 coffee shops, 2 brew pubs and a grocery/liquor store within 8 minutes in nearby Cedar Crest. Our space is True New Mexico, eclectic, beautiful, laid back. It is a retreat from the ordinary, yet easily accessible. Guest access Guest access to 4 seating areas in the yard, around the pond, under the arbor, covered and uncovered deck and bbq grill. Other things to note There is a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, French Press with fresh ground Starbucks coffee and teas, dishes, silverware and wine glasses in your room. Light continental breakfast provided. Sip your coffee in the adirondack rocking chairs on the patio outside the casita door, down by the Koi pond, on the deck, (mountain views to die for), or in the rope chair swings under the arbor.
