Welcoming West End Charmer

Built in 1925, my all brick home has plenty of character and the West End neighborhood is full of charm. It is within walking distance to restaurants, nightlife, parks, and the jogging/biking trail. It is also very near golf courses, Millikin University, and many other family-friendly activities. There's a bus stop at the end of the block. The space Make yourself at home! Your bedroom is a bright, cheery space with plenty of room for you to spread out. There's a sound machine /alarm clock for you to use. My WiFi is good & reliable, so have no worries about connectivity during your stay. The house is heated/cooled according to season, but the temperature inside the house can fluctuate from floor to floor. So, for your comfort, there is a ceiling fan in your room and additional fans available upon request. There are also extra blankets located in your closet if you should need them. Guest access Your private bedroom and the shared full-bathroom are both located on the second floor. The shared half-bath is located off the kitchen on the first floor. You're free to use the kitchen, dining room, office area, and the 3rd floor rec room. There is a television in the rec room with DirecTV programming plus HBO & Showtime as well as a DVD player and Nintendo Wii available for you to use. It's not centrally cooled or heated, but it does have in-wall electric heaters and a window AC unit. If you're going to spend time up there, you'll want to give it time to cool off or heat up, depending on the season. Guests staying for 5 nights or longer can use the laundry facilities located in the unfinished basement. Please be courteous and only do laundry if absolutely necessary. During your stay When we are both at the house, how much or little you interact with me is totally up to you! I want you to feel comfortable talking to me, but if you prefer privacy, that's okay, too. I'm happy to answer any questions and would love to give you suggestions for activities or recommendations on places to eat! When I am away, you can reach me on my cell with any questions or issues. Other things to note Please be aware that since your bedroom is on the 2nd floor, accessibility for people with mobility issues may be limited. I have 3 indoor cats, so folks with allergies should take precautions.
