We have a toddler mattress for young children, recommendations for things to do, see and eat in the area, and a special guidebook with tips, tricks, and guidance for a special retreat. Please note we comfortably sleep 4 adults or older children - our toddler mattress is suitable for children under 3. This space is eclectic, a mix of vintage / original and new. We hope that you will enjoy the wild nature of the desert. Some dust and a few insects are to be expected and are impossible to mitigate completly. We try to keep Wild Abode as sacred and environmentally friendly as possible. If you are bringing a pet please inform us before arrival. Pets must stay off the furniture and be house trained. We advise you to keep your pets on a leash when exploring the grounds as cactus and the occasional snake are present. Please be aware the access to Wild Abode is via an unpaved road. You will have to drive on the unpaved road for 15 minutes. No 4WD is necessary, however a low profile sports car would not be ideal. We are located 10 miles from downtown Joshua Tree in a vibrant neighborhood home to artists and other vacation rentals. The night stars here are amazing and it is very peaceful ! Full hvac system will keep you cool in the summer ! Guest access We recommend having your own vehicle. Free parking on-site for up to three vehicles. The dirt road to the house is well used with packed Earth however may not be suitable for some very low sports cars.
