Sea View Edwardian Home near Beach & Coastal Path
Description
A spacious Edwardian home with sea views over Swanage Bay, private parking, an enclosed garden and a sunny deck for outdoor dining. Set in a peaceful elevated position, the house is around an 8-minute walk downhill to Swanage beach and town, and about 5 minutes from the Jurassic Coast path. It is a great base for family beach holidays, walking breaks, multi-generational stays and cosy winter escapes by the log burner. The space Recently redecorated throughout in a relaxed coastal style, the house feels bright, comfortable and homely, with plenty of room for up to 8 guests. The lounge has a bay window seat with views across Swanage Bay, a smart TV, sound bar and a two-way log burner for colder evenings. The lounge opens into the dining room, where there is a solid oak dining table, games and jigsaws for relaxed evenings in. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking at home, with an American-style fridge freezer and water dispenser, a second dining area and a high chair for younger guests. There is also a shower room off the kitchen. At the rear of the house, the conservatory makes a peaceful reading spot and opens onto the landscaped enclosed garden. The deck has outdoor seating, a BBQ and another lovely view towards the bay. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, built-in wardrobe, sea view and ensuite shower room. There are two further bedrooms on the first floor: one double bedroom with hill views and large wardrobes, and one twin bedroom. These share a family bathroom. On the top floor, there is another double bedroom with a sea view, plus a bathroom with a roll-top bath. A travel cot is available for guests travelling with a baby. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the house, garden, one private parking space suitable for a small car, and additional off-street parking in front of the house for a second vehicle. Self check-in is available via a key lockbox. Other things to note The house is in an elevated position, which is why it has such lovely sea views. It is a quick and easy walk down to the beach and town, and a healthy walk back up the hill. In the summer months, a local bus runs from the top of the street down to the beach and back in around 3 minutes. There are also public car parks by the pier and on Victoria Avenue if you prefer to drive down. One well-trained dog is allowed. A detailed guest manual is provided in the house, including Wi-Fi details, TV instructions, restaurant recommendations, local services, beaches, walks and must-see attractions around Swanage and the Isle of Purbeck.
