Cozy cabin 30 minutes from the airport

Relax with your family at this peaceful residence nestled between nature and the city. Just 30 minutes from Tromsø Airport and a short distance from the adventures at Tromsø Wilderness Center. The cabin is equipped with electricity, water, a bathroom, and a kitchen—all in a cozy and modern atmosphere. We have put a lot of effort into making it a pleasant and comfortable place to unwind after your daily excursions. You can hike in the mountains above or stroll along the shore below the cabin. The space The cabin is 55 square meters in size, featuring a master bedroom with a 150cm wide bed, a second bedroom with a 130cm bed and a bunk bed, and a smaller room with a bunk beds. Recently acquired, we have painted and stained the cabin, installed a new stove and refrigerator with a freezer in the kitchen, and added some new furniture. Our aim is to create a modern and cozy atmosphere, providing a great place to unwind. While the bathroom is not large, it includes a shower cabin, toilet, and sink. There is also a small washing machine in a storage room. We have new down duvets with comfortable bed linens, and towels are provided for everyone. From the living room, you can step out onto the terrace and enjoy views of the fjord and mountains in the distance. Kvaløya offers numerous mountains, with ski trails and hiking opportunities nearby. At Hella, you can fish from the rocks, and further along the road, you'll reach Sommarøy. We believe the cabin is suitable for up to four people initially. As regular users ourselves, we are seeking responsible tenants. Guest access Having a car is a significant advantage when traveling to the cabin. It is located just above the road shortly after the village of Straumsbukta. There is a cabin neighbor on one side, and a residential area is a bit further away. On the lower side of the road, there is a boathouse (not included in the rental). From the road to the cabin, there is a short, somewhat steep slope of about 15 meters. In case of snow and slippery conditions, we have parked down by the road and walked the short distance up. I recommend a 4wd and studded tyres (spikes), especially if you haven't been driving a lot in snowy conditions. Other things to note We have installed a simple wireless internet connection. It works well for checking websites and streaming a movie or two, but please note that this is a 4G router, so there is limited capacity. We also use the internet to adjust the heating on the panel heaters before your arrival. In the kitchen cabinets, you'll find soup plates, dinner plates, small plates, drinking glasses, cutlery, and pots/frying pan. Feel free to ask if you need anything else — there's both a soda and wine opener available. There is a coffee maker with filters in the kitchen, along with a coffee pot. We also have plenty of coffee cups. If you plan to drive around Northern Norway and are not accustomed to winter conditions, I recommend using a 4WD vehicle with studded tires. It will make it easier to drive up to the cabin as well. The cabin is heated with electricity; the wood stove is not available for use. An outdoor camera has been set up to monitor the weather, road conditions, and any potential intruders.
